Food Stamp Glitch Causes Walmart Shelves to Be Stripped Bare by Greedy Panic!

I caught that article the other day - to me, it's just a small sample of what will happen when the System fails.

And people wonder why we have guns ...

They are the "what can you do for me next!" Losers, who haven't hit a lick with a stick for at least the last three generations.

Excellent - I'll add that to my category listings!

I am about 13 miles from the WalMart in my county and the WalMart in the next county over. You would not believe the difference between the people that shop both stores. I shop at the WalMart in the next county over because the folks shopping that store more resemble me by a large margin.

Meaning if the women are in sweats, they are nicely matched outfits from Pennys, etc and not showing butt cracks to the rest of the world. Their hair is clean. They pay cash or write checks and die from embarrassment if they've fallen on hard times and have to use food stamps.

Mr. TWH switched Ford dealerships and now works in that same "next county over". He also can't believe the difference in mentality and politeness of the people coming into his Parts/Service area compared to how they are in our county.

Ooof! When I was still driving, a friend of mine asked me to drive her to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. I grudgingly went, but then occupied myself with people-watching. I've seen fewer butt-cracks at a plumber's convention, and most of the people had what I call the "stunned cow" look - the kind of facial expression a cow has after you jab them with a cattle prod.

I remember thinking to myself, "If these people would take the money they're spending on that new 42" flat-screen and buy some clothes that fit, they'd be ahead of the game". But maybe that's just MY weakness - thinking that appearances really count for anything ...

I've never been in any other W-M except that one in our town, so unfortunately I can't make any comparisons, but I fully believe your account.

LOL, Phil about the plumber's convention. :p These are probably the ones that shop on Black Friday to save a dollar, and then pepper spray or punch other patrons in the face when they reach for the same toy as they want.

When I say I like animals better than people, I mean it! Regardless of personal income, many, not all, Walmart shoppers are either low-class or no class...I often feel sorry for the cashiers there, putting up with all the excessive coupons that don't even match with the items in their carts.

Once this woman was ahead of me with a BIG purchase, when she swiped her debit? card, she came up short on the money. So she started picking out things for the cashier to subtract from the bill, after a back and forth sideshow between the card and numerous other items, this character still didn't have the funds to pay for it. I ended up copping an attitude myself and throwing my things back into my cart and moved to another register.

As I watched from a distance, I saw them send that lady, who was still arguing that she wanted the purchase, to customer service with another employee to "help" her. I mean common people!! Anyone can get a ballpark figure of the items they are buying, especially if they only have X amount of $$ in their account! Where's the consideration for others??? Oh, that's right...non-existent!
