Ain't it great being Canadian you learned your shovelling skills at a young age and how to build a fort and throw perfect snowballs...look at what you would have missed had you been born anywhere else...When it looks like this outside somehow the wind is a much bigger factor than the amount of snowfall. You might say the snow sort of roars outside rather than falls.
The cold is so hard on the little ones.....my wee girl, Shaalee, finds the cold, sometimes -34, so hard, all 10 lbs of her, we have to go out several times to get jobs done. My other two are a little tougher.....they don't waste any time out there.Southern Ohio here. I don't know how many inches we have, but we've been fairly snowed in for three days now, with a smooth shiny snow so hard we can walk and drive on it.
My husband will be driving my son to work (Walmart) today because his car was frozen under ice when he got off work the other day. Around here the Walmart employees are the "essential workers." The main roads are plowed but many side roads and parking lots are not. Churches are closed because of their lots.
My dachshund wet my son's bed last night. She usually sleeps with me, but I guess she knew how fussy I get about that and thought she'd go somewhere else. She has a lovely shoveled walk with cul-de-sac to use, but it is very cold out there, 10 degrees right now, her little doodle stood straight up in the field of snow, like the flag at the North Pole.
That's right. What good is your childhood unless you made snow into iceballs and then threw them at your enemies. We used to build snow forts and have snowball fights. Great life, really!Ain't it great being Canadian you learned your shovelling skills at a young age and how to build a fort and throw perfect snowballs...look at what you would have missed had you been born anywhere else...
Cold weather makes everyone "rough and tough and very hard to bluff!"Very thankful we did not get any snow or much ice. Just horrible cold we are not used to.
Good for those raised in it or like it. I would rather have our regular temps this time of year.Cold weather makes everyone "rough and tough and very hard to bluff!"
