For Those of You Who Have Ever Had a Hangover

Candied Ginger...don't ask me how I know. Lol

Years ago the supervisor of our warehouse, where I once worked swore by drinking alka-selztzer the morning after.
Every morning you'd see that guy plopping those tabs in to his water. plop plop fizz fizz oh what a relief it is.

That was the jingle.

Hangovers are the reason I very rarely drink or only extremely moderately. So I can’t offer any remedies.
However, a lot of people in the southern USA swear by Goodys Headache Powders. They make one variety specifically labeled for hangovers. Not sure, but I think Amazon sells them too.

Any remedies? I've heard to keep on drinking but that's gotta end at some point...lol
Forget the remedies. A hangover is a reminder that you are drinking too much. The point is not to treat the hangover, but rather to never have another one.

I had my fair share of "booze" decades ago....mostly German beer while I was stationed in Germany. Looking back, it was a miracle that I didn't have a bad car wreck. Then, I got married, and "grew up". The Only time I can recall getting drunk, and having a hangover, was years ago, when we had a big party at our house. I drank so much that I wound up in the backyard, heaving my innards up, and felt miserable for hours.

I still like a glass of wine, or a shot of good liquor, but that's about it.

Been ages since I've had a hangover, now that I'm older I just don't drink very much, a beer with dinner or the occasional glass of wine, no hard liquor. I recommend drinking lots of water to get rid of a hangover, as others here already suggested. I would not drink soda or any sugary drinks, especially for those who have concerns with diabetes. Vitamin B-50 is known to help a lot, if you don't have any, a multi-vitamin will do. Also, get some bland foods into your system as you would do with a cold, like crackers, noodle soup, toast, etc. I think it helps absorb whatever alcohol is still in your system, not sure. Getting rest, avoiding eye strain and anything that may cause a headache helps.

Aspirin and Caffeine. Just like the old Midol. Should be helpful.

I haven't had a hangover since the 90's but when I did they were BAD. Saltine crackers and Ginger Ale were the only things I could keep down and eventually they made me feel better. Toast worked as well.

This is from someone who drank Brandy Alexanders, Tequila Sunrises and Vodka Tonics on Quarter Nights when I was out at the clubs in my 20's. Amazing I am still alive today but I guess alcohol truly is a preservative.

You and I would have been good drinking buddies back then. Brandy Alexanders and Tequila Sunrises were favorites of mine also, and the vodka also with the exception that I liked Vodka Gimlets instead of tonic. I also liked Bloody Marys. I rarely drink anymore, but I still like a Brandy Alexander from time to time.

It is really hard, but for me, strenuous exercise seems to flush out the toxins. Some acetaminophen doesn't hurt to situation, either!
