Fresh Start at 55

Hi there

So I live in South Africa.. it is not necessarily where I want to be right now, but it is where I am forced to stay - circumstances!
I am single at 55 and have lived alone for six yrs. That was also not my choice, but it is what I got - my marriage of 24 yrs ended when he replaced me.
I have been fighting for my future here.... will spare some details and trying to find ways to rebuild.. I must have read every book on marriage, trauma, loss, divorce and relationship. Just turns out we were not on the same page!
I would love to help somebody build a business - or support them in their business. The ones I have tried to build have been too much for ONE PERSON to do alone! So... as always two is better than one and life is better shared!
I would love to find a new companion to spend time with and get to know.. life is super hard alone...

I am authentic, honest, a mom of three, once owned and ran a successful beauty salon in South Africa and home educated my three children. Some of my hobbies and greatest passions I have had to let go of.. I hope to one day continue.. but am not able to do these things on my own right now - so I push ahead hoping, trying and praying...

Still looking for my fresh start....

Welcome from Nevada!! You’re still young enough to find a new partner that will enrich your life. I divorced my cheating husband at age 66 and started over by selling my house and buying a little condo. Almost 4 years later and everything is great. I wish you all the best.

At 55 you are a mere child. You have 30 or more good years in front of you. What is it you want to do? There is plenty of time to do it, but you have to find the resources and support. Can your children help?

Welcome to SF, there are many smart and kind people here and we are always willing to talk. But now it's time to pop the turkey in the oven!
