From California Foothills

Hi all

Found this forum by indexing 'senior' - that I am - born in 1950 - raised 3 kids, married 43 years, retired recently due to stress problems. Physically am doing ok but struggling with motivation. I love the Sierra foothills, camping, backpacking, cattle, dogs, cooking (or just about anything that involves food, coffee, solitude, faraway places - I do independent solo travel at least once or twice a year ( about to do some trekking in Thailand, Malaysia & Singapore). Love things European - mostly Mediterranean - but just made some awesome German cookies (Printens). I believe in God but don't wear it on my sleeve - and am not judgmental especially since I'm so far from perfection myself

Lived long enough to know that life... Is a caveat...

Thanks again - I've had some interesting times - although next to parachute or bungee jumping it's quite tame many of my travel tales is how NOT To travel - full of foibles!

I live in Australia but the Central Coast area of NSW .. I see you have a Central Coast in California as well..
a couple of new folks live your way too.. one the other day from the Gold mines in California so we will have
plenty of info I hope from California... love that state.. I have been up and down the coast and loved what I saw..
