Future Travel in Underground Tunnel, What's Your Opinion?

This is America, they will sell advertising space on the tunnel walls!:eek:nthego:

An ironic one would be an ad for earthquake Ins........:)

But at 150 MPH ? the ads are going to go by quickly.

I have a bit of claustrophobia and would be VERY uncomfortable driving in a long tunnel. What do they do about all the exhaust fumes in those long tunnels? There must be some sort of ventilation system or people would be overcome by the fumes??

tunnels in earthquake territory don't sound like a good idea to me but what do I know.

That was my FIRST thought when Elon talked about his tunnel. Anything can go wrong with tunnels, but in earthquake country you're simply asking for it. I think he's also planning one in Chicago. I have moderate claustrophobia and just going through a short tunnel in a highway I have to control my fear and sigh with relief once I'm out in the open.

I'm not sure and could be wrong, but I think those cars are CARRIED along on a track, they're not really driving themselves. What makes no sense is that cars have to wait in queue for the ''elevator'' to come back up from depositing one car on the track, then the next car gets on the elevator and brought down to the track and then the elevator comes back up for the next car. With a long line of cars on the queue, that could take up the time you save driving the distance on the regular road. I'm sure Elon Musk will come up with a solution, after all he's the pioneer doing things no one else has ever done before. He's a genius. He taught himself code by buying a book at the tender age of 12. I'm a big fan!:love_heart:

If I had to live somewhere where you had to travel in a tunnel under water, I'd move. Even Siberia sounds better to me.

How weird. The opening photo on my computer this morning was Siberia! Lol It looked cold but kind of pretty.
