Gammon- karen- Boomer - Snowflake- offensive words ?

I had to look up Gammon. It says it refers to the color of a person's flushed face. (Huh? Why is this an insult?)

Karen and snowflake are used as insults. I've discussed this before in this forum; I have a daughter named Karen, and she has several friends with that name. It was a very popular name around the time when she was born. Why take an ordinary name and turn it into an insult? How would any of us feel if our name suddenly became a widely used insult, for no particular reason?

Boomer has me puzzled. Doesn't it just refer to a person born during the years of the Baby Boom, around 1945-1964? Why is that insulting?
