Gammon- karen- Boomer - Snowflake- offensive words ?

I had to use my googleizer to learn about Gammon, and still don't get it.

Of course, I have a dear cousin named Karen, I am proud to be a Boomer, and I'm told every Snowflake is unique.

" . . . but stressed it did not amount to a ban of any of the terms on the list. " For now, that is. They will be trying to legally ban words they don't like whenever they get a chance.

In the meanwhile, I shall use whatever words are needed to make my arguments. And the language police can go . . . well, you can imagine where they can go and what they can do to themselves when they get there.

I don’t believe in banning or restricting words but I also believe that words have consequences and can cause people pain.

If I know or believe that a word will offend someone I make an effort not to use it when speaking with them or about them.
well just remember never to tell your neighbour Karen you're having Gammon for tea, in case they're offended... :sneaky:

Hmmmm....I wonder how many "Karens" are really named Karen? I did read about one and boy was she a b**ch! The term Boomer doesn't bother me at all and I've never heard the term Gammon before so just had to look it up. Haven't heard the term snowflake in a very long time. How politically correct are we gonna get?

Ho hum, those folks who think up new “insulting “ epithets would be better off just getting more education. A youngish person called me “boomer” after something “sensible” that I said . Jokes on her, I’m Wayyy older than the boomers.

Gammon is a pejorative popularised in British political culture since around 2012. The term refers in particular to the colour of a person's flushed face when expressing their strong opinions, as compared to the type of pork of the same name.

People of a certain political persuasion liked labelling others "snowflakes" and called themselves "tea baggers" until that first word was redirected at them and then they found out what tea bagger actually means. :ROFLMAO:

My tractor is a New Holland Boomer, do I need to change that? Not sure who my tractor is insulting...
...well you;re not trying hard enough.:sneaky:.. go around a few more social networking sites or a few pubs and start shouting about a new Holland Boomer.. someone will take up the cudgel on behalf of the Dutch seniors.. I'll betcha money on it.. :ROFLMAO:..and no I'm not paying your fines...
