Gang Toyz: Switchblades and Zip Guns

I still have a switch blade from the 60's...

After I bought a very well made switchblade on line I discovered if you get caught carrying one you lose your concealed handgun license. Needless to say it stays in the house.

I always liked carrying my blade back in my badass days. That is until one day when I got caught showing it to another kid by a teacher and had it taken away. The principal told me if I wanted it back, I had to have my mom or dad come into the office with me to pick it up, so now you know that I never retrieved it.

This is about as badass as I ever got:

In the Rotten Apple the gang guys who lived in the projects had stilettos, baseball bats and zip guns and the gang guys who lived in the tenements had gravity knives, pipes, 2 by 4's with a nail on the end and zip guns. I never saw chains used in fights. Maybe in the movies but in the urban gang culture everybody knew if you weren't fast enough your adversary would grab the end of that chain and launch you right into a wall. I don't think any ghetto gangs used those flicky butterfly type knives that was the basic weapon of choice in Chinatown with the Ghost Shadows and the Wa Chings or whatever they were called back then. I guess by the time you swung and flicked them out you pretty much would feel a baseball bat upside your skull.

Pappy this one's for you.

Is there anything Youtube doesn't have an instructional or review on?

Trax you know too much about this topic 🤔
🤓

Okay since the statute of limitations has expired. I think somebodies older sister was going out with the warlord of the Corsair Lords. I also heard that her younger brother who was kinda young (8 years young) and the gang leader knew to use one or two trusted underage kids sorta like him that would rather take a serious whooping from the notorious 4 cops per RMP with 36" riot baton carrying NYPD TPF heavyweights and go to juvi then to risk being the victim of a vicious beating for gang disloyalty to carry the weapons in bags to the spot where the gangs would fight. Every gang in the confines of the five boros knew the NYS penal code with a registered juvenile delinquent in the gang book being caught with a deadly or dangerous weapon it was the big house, no other option was available in those days. Some of these kids actually became cops and nothing could get past them because they been there and done that more then one could ever imagine. It was that, go into the ARMY or let heroin take you down the road to HELL itself.
