Gary Lineker

My husband works for the BBC.. as I did up until I retired.. I won't go into any detail because obviously his job is confidential., and he's bound by confidentiality rules as I was or risk his job .. but the BBC are hypocrites.. as is Jeremy Vine when it comes to it... They The BBC are driven by a right wing agenda , enough said about that on this forum
Sorry to hear that.

I like the BBC news because it seems to me to be less politically biased than most of our US media. But I suppose it looks different from within the UK. I mostly read on their website, occasionally listen to the radio, never have watched a live TV broadcast.

I have no idea who Gary Lineker is, so no opinion on him one way or the other.

I've always viewed the BBC as 'left leaning' and obsessively cautious about offending anyone. I've even seen described as the Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation. Personally, I don't give a damn about Match of the Day or Gary Lineker, but I loathe the way that so called "celebrities" think their views are any more important than others.

As for illegal immigrants having "no other choice" - what about the 'safe' countries they pass through the get to a country they think will be a 'soft touch'?
