Hello, i went to search for a forum a friend of mine used to be on when i found this one. I thought hmmm i could be apart of this place. So here i am. I am 51 and can only get younger from here lol, well optimism is a wonderful thing. I live in the deep South West of Western Australia, where sadly all the great white sharks live so we don't go swimming alot around here. I have been apart of board communities for the best part of 20 years, i enjoy building model kits, naval ships and submarines mostly. When i am not pulling out what hair i have left with model kits, i give myself headaches by doing Graphics, animated graphics and coding. So yes, the two most frustrating hobbies in existence i think, but i enjoy punishing myself.
So it is nice to meet you all..

Welcome to another Aussie ..Im in south Aust but have traveled through allot of the southern part of WA with our caravan ....

My hubby has even climbed the huge Karri lookout trees down that way .

Way to many lost to sharks in WA last year

Big warm welcome to you, Mozzie, from Beautiful British Columbia Canada!

Great White Shark sightings in BC waters has been growing exponentially, with regular sightings being the norm now, courtesy of global warming.

Yes sadly there have been a few taken down this ways. SA, i lived there for a while, Hallett Cove for a job in graphics for a program company many years ago. Very lovely place when i was there. In regards to the Karri trees, yes, i don't climb them, i have this thing about heights.

Hey Mozzie...

In the village where I have a home in Southern Spain we're plagued by mozzies so they've set up a Bat sanctuary in the hope of reducing those darn Tiger mozzies... but on this forum we're happy to have a Mozzie... (y)

lovely...we don't have deer close by but we do have muntjac in the woods next to my house... they bark like dogs at night
We get many visitors to the forest, they get quite excited when they come across the mandarin duck. So often these ducks get reported, as in: "Hello, I've just seen an escaped exotic bird." You will find notices at ponds and lakes explaining the mandarin duck.

@Mozzie .. So pleased to welcome you to the forum! I lived in SA for several years. Aaah, your name conjures up the night I had to go to emergency with welts from mozzie bites. I eventually built up an immunity to them.
