Gentle posts for gentle folks

Good Morning, Kaila and Friends πŸ€— :coffee:🌻

Just finished therapy, which went well. I mean, as well as that goes. If you're doing it right, therapy is hard so, meh, it was uncomfortable this morning, which means I'm doing the work.

@RadishRose, glad you had a nice visit with family and your dog. :) Loved the sushi-pop! :ROFLMAO:

Feeling the πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯• for all of you!

That's funny that you included πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•
Because we have a lot of carrots going in all directions , on this thread. πŸ˜…

For those that don't know, my spellchecker likes to sub carrot in for caring.πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜„

'Morning lovely people!

@Kaila, yes, it was wonderful to see my doggie and grands Sat. Hadn't seen my dog since April 12th. We snuggled and she almost licked my face off!

Baby was cranky on and off but mostly off.
We made Chicken Tikka Masala, basmati rice, spicy lentils and steamed broccoli. Baby ate most of a small burger, lots of broccoli, some cheese.

Kaila good luck at the oral surgeon!

My pt is 2x per week. I only have 2 more covered but he says I;m a lot stronger now.

You guys were talking about Sushi. I do like it but it's been awhile.

Kaila, you really are quite funny; I also laughed at your posts in the Games section.

May you all have fun today!

I enjoyed all of your update, very much, RadishRose!
Thanks for sharing about every part... your doggie, and the baby, and the visit, and foods.
And the p.t.

They limited my dh 's at home p.t. as well.
Mine is extended and likely will be longer-term because of my different diagnosis it is medically necessary. And it's outpatient at a nearby facility.

But I hope they will help you with your arm and hand, or can you get outpatient p.t. afterwards for that?

I enjoyed seeing your reactions and posts in the games.πŸ˜€

Hello, to my friends here,
I'm home from the oral surgeon.
Ugh.
Some parts of life are just not fun. πŸ€¨πŸ˜πŸ™„πŸ˜¬

I'll recover from this though.
So limited in what i can eat all week. πŸ«©πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Oh well this is a relatively small problem.

☺️😊πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

@Kaila it's been a long time since I've been here (aka MarciKS) & I am not certain I recall why you are ill. I do hope your recovery is going well.

Oh gosh, thank you for telling me.
I wondered who you were when I saw your posts on katlupe 's thread.

I had a series of medical setbacks in November and December, and fell 3 times, then spent a month inpatient.
Dh also had a terrible medical event, so caring for us both at home now.

Have made a lot of amazing progress.
More is needed.

I spent some time in the hospital in November so I understand. I can't imagine being in there a month. Yuck.

Good afternoon Kaila and friends. I hope you are all having a lovely day.

I’ve never had Sushi and probably never will. The idea of raw fish and seafood really turns my stomach.

Such a beautiful picture of the ocean and evergreen trees and of the sky, that you took obviously from your car. I've loved staring out that window. Love even those clouds. And the ocean. And the trees, and the........

Oh, I said that already. πŸ™ƒπŸ˜Šβ˜ΊοΈπŸ˜

The following sounds like a riddle but it isn't one.
🀭

How do you eat when you have oral surgery on Left side of your mouth?πŸ™„

Easy: On the right side of your mouth, despite how many times the food tries to sneak over to the wrong side.😬

And, how do you eat when you have oral surgery on the Right side of your mouth?πŸ€”

Easy: On the left side of your mouth, despite.... well, you know what happens to the food then. πŸ™„πŸ€

BUT, how do you eat when the left side is not fully healed before you have oral surgery on the right side???πŸ«£πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜΅πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

I needed a crash course today, of that third scenario, and after the first couple tries, I discovered the hidden answer. ☺️πŸ₯ΈπŸ˜Ž

You curl your tongue, and then push the soft food against the roof of your mouth.
πŸ€©πŸ‘πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜†

Be sure it is Very Soft food! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜πŸ˜†πŸ˜ŠπŸ€£

Better yet, make that ice cream!
πŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ˜‚

Preferably coffee ice cream. ☺️
It's obvious to all, that will work the best.
πŸ˜„

I do plan to try next: mashed pea soup with a side of mashed potatoes. 😊

you know i realize it sounds disgusting but it would be to your benefit to make some puree food. you don't have to chew it. it's like having everything in a thick pudding form. if you don't know how to make your own there might be some videos on it or i could try to message you with some ideas since i do my own a lot when i can't use my teeth.

Thank you so much but I do have some pureed foods, which we do eat often due to our ongoing issues too. 🀩

I had fun writing it up in that humorous way, above. 😁

Plus,
It's still just the very same day Today, that I've had the 2nd oral surgery, so it truly is more limiting than it will be, even tomorrow.
Not allowed to swish or rinse or sip, today.

Thank you again for the thoughtfulness!πŸ™‚

Were you out driving in the rain, today, out of necessity, Pinky?
Or do you enjoy the excursions, and seeing more of nature, equally in all sorts of weather?

@Kaila

We go out every 2nd day, just so we're not housebound. Generally, we go to smaller towns and do our grocery shopping, and stop for lunch. It's lovely to see all the farm animals out in the paddocks .. horses,
sheep, goats, etc. About once a month, we take our daughter and her Corgi (Abbi) with us. I get to have
Abbi on my lap, in the back seat, while she enjoys the wind in her face.

The rain was minimal today. We took a drive along The Danforth, which is called "Greek Town", which is
quite long.

Good Morning, Kaila and Friends. πŸ€—:coffee:🌻

Raining here today too. It’s been getting hot though, so I am enjoying the cooling off provided by the rain.

@Kaila, glad you’ve made it through another visit to the oral surgeon and are recovering. Was that your last oral surgeon appointment?

Coffee ice cream rocks! 🍨

@RadishRose, good vibes for your physical therapy and doctor's appointment. πŸ€—

Husband is off today so we'll hang out together. Other than that, it's the usuals for me today... I've been very busy on my Animal Crossing island, lately. ;)

Coffee's on.
