Good afternoon,@Kaila and all.
Got the bus into town, it's really hot (for us )and I feel exhausted now after walking round, even though I didn't walk that far. Bought a nice loose cotton dress for myself in emerald green. Very rare for me to wear dresses but it's ideal for this weather. Also bought two neck fans for my granddaughters. They are going away on Monday so these should come in handy while we are having this hot spell.
Going to get comfy on the settee now, watch some dog training programme on TV until the Ladies Wimbledon Final comes on.

Going to be hot today at 89F/32C and no chance of rain. There is rain called for tomorrow, though, so relief is coming. I'll be on watering duty today.
@Kaila, really glad your Friday and physical therapy went well.
Hope everyone woke feeling hale and hearty this morning.
You know I love you guys. But I read this and my first thought was, "Oh barf." LOL Some of these little memes are just so cheesy. Though, now I'm typing this I feel like maybe I'm being a bit sinical. Maybe I should drink more coffee before I post in the mornings.

I had a good morning helping dh and bits of other tasks, that felt good to accomplish;
but our day unexpectedly started early,
( an alarm went off by mistake)
and am exhausted now.
I hope it doesn't set me back, I hope i can nap and then maintain my improvement

Pleased you had a good morning yesterday @Kaila and hope you managed that nap. 
Another hot start to the day here so I won't be doing much, the heat drains me. Good excuse for being lazy. Plus it's the Men's Wimbledon Final this afternoon, I'll watch the start of it here and watch the rest at my son's house then we'll have our usual quiz and a game of Old Maid. If you recall me saying everyone, except me, could tell which card was the Old Maid (it has a slight bend on the corner which I can't see) so I bought a new set. We played it last week.... and I still ended up as Old Maid.

Good morning everyone! I tried to get an early start today because of the (once again) expected high heat. 
I have supper in the slow cooker and I did some housework. Not sure if I'll tackle the laundry or wait for tomorrow. I have a fan blowing directly on me, but it's not doing diddly squat, so it will be another early AC day.

We have a 50% chance of rain today with a high of 86F/30C, which is not bad, really. You guys are mentioning you're in for hot weather today so, I hope everyone is able to stay out of the worst of the heat.

Just returned from Lucius' afternoon walk. Yeesh, it's freaking hot out there. Not what I was expecting. The high was predicted at 86F/30C, but it's currently 88F/31C and the real feel is 99F/37C. Predicted rain has not yet arrived. I really hope it does because I don't want to go out in the heat, again, to water the peanuts.

Today, I did numerous small tasks, a little at a time, before a power outage shut down everything including my internet!
I worried about losing food in the fridge and freezer, as there was no info about the cause or regarding how long it might stay out.
The power came back on a few hours later. Whew!

Good afternoon @Kaila and co... well I have got the pleasure of Rocco's company until Friday. My son, his partner and my two grandaughters have gone away for a few days. They were undecided whether to go by car or train and in the end they chose to go by train. Just as well they did because the motorway they would have used has been closed in both directions since earlier this morning, due to a multiple car pile up! Six people, including one child, airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
It's not quite as hot today, in fact just right, very pleasant. Took Rocco out early on and will take him out later this evening, other than that he can go in the back yard if needs be.
Pleased your power outage didn't last too long, @Kaila.. although long enough I would imagine!!

This day totally got away from me! More storms moving in tonight and there's flash flooding happening all over the state, so hoping the power stays on. I'll check in tomorrow morning! Nighty night, all.

Hello all, and thank you, @Fritz
I had a busy day.... I took dh to a big Dr appointment for him.
It was a very short easy drive there but the traffic was heavy plus I had difficulty with their confusing and too-large parking lot.
I had difficulty walking myself from car to door.... and then found it difficult to pull myself together to ask the questions of the dr and listen to the answers.
Thankfully she was a very good Dr but then another Dr came in who i would not ever recommend to anyone.
Eventually we got home.... took short naps.... but were awakened suddenly. A neighbor suddenly knocked on our door which is a very unusual occurrence.
