Gentle posts for gentle folks

@Medusa
It's definitely understandable to have those sad feelings, and for some old stuff that we barely, if at all comprehend, to be triggered;
when a dear loved one is leaving.
Even if it isn't for a long time or a negative reason.

Yes, it's a temporary feeling and you'll be fine, but it's there and is okay to feel and to say. 💗
Especially on a come-as-you-are thread. 😉☺️

Thank you. 🤗 The friendship here is comforting. I knew I could whine and you guys wouldn't mind. @Kaila, you've created a truly lovely place to gather with your come-as-you-are thread. ❤️

Good morning, Kaila and Friends! Nice, quiet, and cold Sunday morning. Weather people say snow is possible for this afternoon, but I'm choosing to ignore them. See how that works? Ignore it and it'll go away, isn't that right? Worried about @Pam today and I can't remember if she said anything about being away and there's nothing from her since Wednesday. I know I'm a Mama Hen, but can't help it.

Thank you @CallMeKate for being a Mama Hen. :) I'm okay, just been feeling very tired and a bit low.... sore shoulder plus the arthritis in my left knee has been playing up so just generally feeling sorry for myself. Shoulder has eased a bit now, helped along by painkillers. Then I got reminders about dental check up and hygienist which I ignored for a few days. Finally got round to making appointments and managed to get them both on the same day, check up first then hygienist 45 minutes later so that makes things easier.

Hope your new cane is a big help for you @Kaila - I had to use two before my hip operation and have held onto them, also a rollator and a couple of other aids for after the op. I kept hold of them and glad that I did as my friend is going to collect them this week for her husband to use. He has spinal arthritis and lately his walking sticks are just not enough.

Big hugs for anyone who is feeling low or unwell. Can only reiterate what others have said, thank you @Kaila for this thread.

Well, so far the increase in the Lopressor hasn't been doing its job, but, I feel ok in that department. I won't bore you all with how bad my back has been these last few days.

Today, I shall forget all my aches and pains and celebrate my 93rd birthday with my son. I never, in my wildest dreams, thought I ever come near this age. I thank my sweet Lord for watching over me through some very close calls.

Kaila, you too, can achieve this and I hope you do, kiddo. xxxooo

Good evening Kaila and friends,
@Kaila - I’m glad to know you got a new cane and it came in perfect condition. I sincerely hope it serves its purpose.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you, Patty,
for this dear sweet post, showing interest and your caring, regarding my new cane.

And I thank  All of you for that, as well.

I'm finding that it's actually a big deal for me, this week.
Finally taking that step.
It was a distant and uncertain goal, for several months.
It's unsteady progress; often the fall- backs are bigger than the forward ones.

Yet, it is true progress.
I thank every one of you, for being on this path with me.
For caring, accepting and supporting, myself and each other,
as well as for sharing about yourselves, all of which makes this thread so very much richer and dearer, for myself and for others.

Pam, thank you for updating us on how you are doing. We all care about you, of course. 💗
Thank you for spreading some extra hugs around here, for any who feel low or ill, among us.

That is nice that you can share those mobility aids with your friend.
And good to hear how you made progress after the hip operation. I wonder how long that recovery took. It's wonderful that you can take walks now, and the bus on your better days.

Sorry about how your shoulder and knee are. And having to make dental appointments. But congratulations on making those. !!!
Here, the dentists always want the hygienist appointment, first. It's cleaner and more pleasant for them, in that order. 😉😊😁

Your post was so meaningful and very moving for me. Thank you for that message!
I'm very glad you made it to 93, and are here, sharing with us. 🥰

Did your Dr say how long till the new med might make a helpful difference?
