For me, pictures say it all
I call this one 'After The Storm'

because ......it was...well.... after the storm
captured it with the Nikon

Our first real storm
during our first year of living in the mountains

Quite the blow
gusts 80mph
pine trees snapping
huddled in the cabin
waiting for a tree to come crashing thru

then

it quit

a gentle breeze escorted the heavy clouds away from ol' sol

a good feeling

a very good feeling

the first of many

Each day has a lot of lows, and some good things too. It's a consuming process, trying to make a physical and emotional comeback.

Trying to handle the daunting path ahead.
Not able to go home, that's for sure.
Never been a patient at long rehab.
I can't pick which one.
It's a scary time for me.

Thank you, and thank All of you, for listening and for being with me on parts of your days.
I'm very appreciative.
What I meant was that they don't allow me to pick which rehab place i prefer.
I could easily pick the best one for me, if only they'd let me. I have to take the next
Opening.

They moved me to a different room, in a different section of this huge hospital, today.

When they told me suddenly I was moving, I held my breathe as I asked...Today?
Yes.
To where?????
(I thought they meant to a rehab facility)

To a different wing and floor and room, etc. Within this hospital.

Oh! Okay.

I was nervous anyway, even though it's at the same hospital, and not yet to a rehab, I know not where. 🙁

They assured me they had told my new staff everything they had learned about me, so I would not have to retell.

That was definitely not accurate.
Therefore,
It's been a stressful rest of the day.

It's late evening now, and I hope there will not be any additional surprises to this long day.

It's a teeny tiny room with a small window, but that's fine.

No roommate which would have added stressors, for me and would have blocked me from seeing out the window.

I will be able to see the daylight in the morning, and a small part of the wonderful sky, so I'll manage okay.

Thank you to everyone of you.
It means so much to me that you are here.

When I was in the other hospital room with the large 7th floor window,
a few times I saw Canadian geese flying south from Canada.

One sighting was several in their typical V formation, where they take turns leading the way.
They're late , but headed in the right direction!☺️
