How are you feeling today?

Each day has a lot of lows, and some good things too. It's a consuming process, trying to make a physical and emotional comeback.

Trying to handle the daunting path ahead.
Not able to go home, that's for sure.
Never been a patient at long rehab.
I can't pick which one.
It's a scary time for me.

Thank you, and thank All of you, for listening and for being with me on parts of your days.
I'm very appreciative.

There are 2 dogs that come to this hospital for pet therapy.

They don't come often.
One came for only 5 minutes but even that was a huge help.

The other came for about 10 minutes, yesterday, between stressful visits of dr,s and care planners and P.T.....

It's amazing how much it helps in the unique way it does.

1 is a golden retriever, who tries not to be too rambunctious .

The other is a mix of saint Bernard and poodle. Large with curly fur.

You look at their face and feel accepted as you are. What a relief.

I've been here 8 days now.

So, it's true what they say about therapy dogs? I guess it shouldn't be any surprise because they make everyone feel good.

I have to eat very soft or purred foods.
There is a very limited selection of those.

At least they let you choose when you want your meals.
They probably will not do it that way at a rehab.

They gave me an air mattress today. I was nervous about it, but seems okay so far.

The flowers are pretty. I like the vibrant colors of the petals.
I wish they had art therapy. Or Rec. Therapy. Here at hospital.
The rehabs don't either.

Pet therapy is wonderful....and so is your attitude! I can only imagine how hard this is for you, and yet....you always look for a positive side!!!
