I'm so glad to hear your AC was installed, Kaila! I had to put mine on very early yesterday, but it did a great job (just a window unit, but that's all that's needed along with a few fans.) Heat wave continues today, so stay cool, everyone. Eat ice cream!

@Kaila, thank you for the cooling vibes! Some of us here really need those.

It's going to be another day of extreme heat here today. Yesterday, we hosed down the dog for the first walk, but doing that with the garden hose always soaks us as well as the dog. So thereafter I used the garden watering can.
I've taken to literally watering the dog. But being soaking wet and staying in the shade as much as possible keeps him nice and cool. I carry water for him too, but I'm keeping the walks short enough, in this heat, that he usually doesn't want it when offered.

Hope you all woke feeling good today and everybody stays cool and safe!

Hi everyone I'm glad you all stayed cool. my grandson did come with the portable unit for me and I bought the kit that blocks the open spaces. it's a sliding door so there's a long strip I can't explain it but the hose goes out there and it doesn't look bad you know it's all closed up and it works great.

my grandson being an electrician brought electrical tape to reinforce the duct, it came apart on one little piece and my son came last night with duct tape and got it back together. it works fine. it's only an 8000 BTU the room could use probably 10,000 or 13,000 because it's a living room and a dining area together but the seating area is which is all I really care about It's fine in fact I had to put on a shirt well a shirt over my T shirt cause they got chilly it doesn't work as well in the kitchen but it's still fine when you come in from outside, It's a great relief.

Seems like some of you are having extreme heat at the moment... hope you can manage to stay cool. God to hear that @Kaila and @RadishRose have got some AC sorted now. Heat has eased off a bit here, in fact it's what I call very pleasant at the moment.

I've been feeling very tired and lethargic again... (or should that be lazy ). Whatever, doesn't really matter does it? I can be lazy if I want.

Is he growing more rapidly as a result?

Does Lucius enjoy the hose and love the gardening-can waterings? Is it fun for all?
In addition to being effective for the important health goal?

Lucius loves the garden hose, but so far is a little wary of the watering can. It's new to him. But it does the job of getting him nice and soaked before a walk in the heat, without soaking me too! LOL Silly puppy.

That's right, Pam!
You can be lazy or anything else.
We do not need to be perfect or productive every day or every hour. If we once did need to, long ago sometime, for some reason that no longer exists....
we no longer need to adhere to it.

However, I suspect that you are truly tired and wear out more easily from the visits and walks and preparing for lunches, etc.

It's likely a good and positive balance, to rest more, when you have some breaks for yourself.
