Gentle posts for gentle folks

@Kaila - I am in the same situation with doctor. Actually I am going to a "meet and greet" to see a new doctor tomorrow. I never heard of having a meet and greet before but maybe I am behind the times.

That was common here, years ago, but has disappeared now that there are fewer doctors and now, very long wait times to get one.

I did love the meet and greet appointments,

where we could take our questions for them, and our list of what we would like in a new Dr, or what type of treatments, etc, that they specialize in or that we often prefer.

Prepare a few, and also see what they say, to decide if you think it might be a good match.

It's your chance to give them a job interview. 😁

Good evening. Sorry you are losing your doctor @Kaila. :(I went through the same about 2 years ago.

@RadishRose, I will pass that soup recipe to my youngest son, he is the soup maker of the family. He'll have to leave out the cilantro (coriander to us in the UK) as, unfortunately, it makes food taste 'off' to me but that's not a problem.

Today I finally made an appointment for the hairdresser to come and cut my hair, long overdue so she's coming next Thursday, thank goodness. I've also dug out my binoculars and bird book ready for my day trip out on Tuesday with son and grandson. Grandson and I used to go a couple of times a year when he was younger but Covid and then bad hip put a stop to that. It's been a few years since we've been and grandson is now 19... but he was the one who suggested we go the nature reserve again. I'm a happy bunny. :)

That sounds like a wonderful outing that you will have on Tuesday!
Will you also take photos?

That's a bit of a selfish question of mine.

I understand about the challenges some days do present with the positive affirmations, etc , oh do i?!πŸ˜¬πŸ™„πŸ«£

Just an idea.....
Perhaps give a try at shifting them slightly, such as...... asking self:

What went well today , or what is something I like about myself ...
Or to some other positive theme,
To focus on.

I agree, we are each working with what we've got. 🫠😊🀩πŸ₯°
That's a good idea. :) My affirmations are preset and I'm repeating after them. There is a part of my morning meditation that is about gratitude though, so I get what you're aiming at. :)

Good evening Kaila and Friends,
Thank you so much for your comments regarding Elliot. He is a very good and affectionate cat. We are very lucky to have him!

@Kaila So sorry that you are going to lose your doctor. I have been in that position before. It is not pleasant.

@RadishRose Thank you for asking about Elsa. This past week, we were able to stop giving her the pills. She will be, along with her brother, continuing on eating her special prescribed food. She still scratches a little bit early morning but does not appear to have any redness on her belly. Her fur is looking good and is very soft. We still do not know what caused this rash or allergy. We are hoping it will not come back again. It took over 4 months to get over it!

I am sending you some organic carrots πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯• from Florida.
I wish you all a nice evening.
It is so nice to read all your comments.

Good Morning, Kaila & Friends!

Every morning it is overcast here due to the smoke coming from Canada, I think. It gets blue a little later in the morning. I so love the blue sky and puffy clouds!

One of the problems I had with my doctor's office was they had resident doctors (not a doctor yet) and I would start trusting that one and then they would leave because they graduated. I changed offices so now I have one who has her own office and is close by.

Hello to all friends,

Thank you for the good laugh, 😁☺️
@Fritz
How did you know ,I had to ice my hip, last night?πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜†
I sure would love some cake though. πŸ€—πŸ°πŸ˜

@katlupe
That's great that you got a reliable dr and stable dependable office. And convenient location is also very helpful.

@Rossana
It's wonderful to see Elsa; she is so striking.
And even nicer to hear that she's improved. We all hope she'll continue to feel better than she had for so long.

Yesterday, I had a good p.t. session and also was able to meet dh's health needs,

and then, his labwork results came back okay,too.

This morning started sloggy and slow, but then okay for a while.
Until I felt totally worn out, again. Ugh. πŸ™„πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜

Briefly, I saw a male hummingbird this afternoon though.🀩
Goldfinches brightened the day as well.
Quite a few flowers in bloom, this week, which is something I love about both July and August. πŸŒΊπŸŒ»πŸŒΌβš˜οΈπŸ΅πŸŒ»πŸŒΊπŸ¦‹

Good morning, Kaila & Friends! Breakfast is served. I hope you all had a more restful night than I did. First it was really loud fireworks much too late into the night. No local celebrations, no holiday... so I have no idea why anyone would do that.

Second was sirens... lots of sirens and really loud. It was a house fire close enough that I could see everything that was going on. Scary stuff! Is everyone doing okay? Any big plans for your Sunday?

Good Morning, Kaila and Friends. πŸ€— :coffee:🌻

I haven't woken feeling particularly wonderful the last couple mornings, which surprises me what with all the freaking positivity I'm breathing in and chanting, of late. However, I managed to pull myself up yesterday and I will again today. 😎

I've been doing some work with dream journaling and lucid dreaming as well, which has proven interesting and kind of fun.

@Kaila, good news about your physical therapy and husband's lab work. πŸ€—

@CallMeKate, sorry you had a rough night. Ugh.

Hope everyone's Sunday is peaceful and enjoyable. πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•
