Hello beautiful people

Kaila I'm so sorry you're having trouble but you know.... I really like the pep talk you gave to yourself. It helps me to remember too, that we do things now that we couldn't before. I really admire that you're sticking to it!

Hope everyone that's feeling a bit 'off' feels better.

Had a grocery order yesterday evening. I put it away and put a piece of salmon in small Pyrex dish and put it in the toaster oven with a little soy sauce. I skipped the potato and just heated up some broccoli. My treat last night was container of Kozy Shack Chocolate Pudding. :p Well half of it anyway.

Cloudy today 65 degrees, the high to be 74.

Have some fun today kids and we'll catch up later.

Hey everyone! My road trip starts tomorrow, so I'm not expecting to be able to post until later in the week. Take care of each other and keep each other out of trouble. 🀭 I'd pick everyone up like I tried to do last time, but Kaila spilled ice cream all over the seats and I ruined the car trying to drive over the pond to pick up @Pam , so I'm going solo this time. :ROFLMAO: You men and ladies who visit this diary thread are awesome and I hope you know that!

Oh Kate, I don't see any of those reasons as valid justification for your not taking all of us on the road trip again!
πŸ˜†πŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ€£πŸ˜

That was so funny and unexpected. Thank you for the laughter. 😊🀩

Thank you in addition for letting us know.
We will miss you but have a good time.

Have you ever been the passenger in someone else’s car and the seat is set totally wrong but it’s too much disruption to change it? That happened to me last week. Both people that use the car are tall and like the seat angled back. It was like I was lying down and couldn’t see over the dash. That’s just my way of saying I’m ok with not participating in Kate’s road trip.

I'm sorry you ruined your car trying to drive over the pond to pick me up....would have been a wasted journey as I'm out today. Have a great road trip and look forward to reading all about it. πŸš—πŸ₯•πŸ₯•

Good Morning, Kaila and Friends. πŸ€— :coffee:🌻

The weather here was nice yesterday, cool and breezy and the forecast is the same today. :) Makes for nice walks with Lucius.

Speaking of Lucius, I have to take him out 30 minutes earlier than usual for his morning walk as the groomer is coming this morning. It's fun for him because he loves his groomer. 🐢β™₯️

@Pinky, glad you're beginning to feel better! IMG_8258_3_fixedredo3_1024x1024-3944888155.jpg

@CallMeKate, wishing you a wonderful trip! You'll be missed. πŸ€—πŸ₯•πŸ₯•

I've got to get this day going. Hope everyone is feeling good today. Wishing you all a peaceful, happy day. πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•

Hi Kaila and Kids  :love:
Well it's partly sunny up here and cooler at 64 degrees right now.

Pinky, I'm glad you're finally getting over that monster cold !
Kate, have fun and be safe on your road trip.
Medusa, Wow Lucius gets to the spa come to him at his home that's pretty nice.
Jules, LOL I understand about the car seat laying too far back for you. So annoying.
StarSong, You brought back Drakes! I used to like their Tastycakes.
Kaila, Hope you're feeling well and wondering what's on your agenda for today, I guess I missed it
Hawkie and Fritz, Good to see you here.
Pam, how was your outing with your grandson? Kiss to Rocco.

I swear I'm going to make my soup today! I do have PT today but not until 2:00 PM.
Ate salmon again last night but as part of the Caesar salad although, I was out of Caesar salad dressing so I used Newman's Own avocado dressing. It was still good.

Must get a move on now. Everyone enjoy yourselves today.

Good morning, K-posse. Took a 3 hour nap yesterday and had a solid night's sleep. Hoping both will put me squarely back on Pacific Daylight Time. I spent last week where it was EDT and never fully adjusted, so coming back home very late Sunday night really whacked me yesterday.

Must be grooming day... Ozzy-dog is also set for grooming this morning. The combination of baths, diatomaceous earth, and intensive vacuuming seems to have resolved the flea problem. 🀞 After a week with no warm-blooded hosts to feast on, I expected any remaining fleas to have quickly reappeared and been ravenous.

@Kaila, I hope you have a good day today. Recovery from surgery or injuries is often two steps forward, one step back. Most important is the overall trajectory - you've come so far over the past five months and will continue to improve. πŸ€— Try to not let a day or two get you down.

StarSong, You brought back Drakes! I used to like their Tastycakes.
When I was a kid and teenager I loved Ring Dings. Moved to CA and (sadness) no Ring Dings or Drakes. (Anytime a friend was coming from NY/NJ, I'd ask them bring me back RDs. My kids got hooked on them, too!)

I could buy them online, but they're pricey that way, plus somehow it's not quite the same.

They're in the kegerator fridge to keep them fresh (and out of sight). Today will be my 3 year old grandson's first experience of them... I'll cut one in thirds at snack time, 1/3 for each of us. Usually, DH & I share them to stretch out the joy.

3 boxes of 8 Ring Dings (all the store had in stock) won't last very long, so we'll savor them.

As a kid, CT Did not carry any Drakes products. My parents were from PA and we had a reunion in each July. In those days my Uncle Nick who lived in New Jersey was some big shot at Drake's cake. He would come with Aunt Mary and boxes and boxes of Drake's cake for us all. We always liked the butterscotch tasty-cakes. Later our stores carried Drake's but not the tasty-cake line.

We also liked Devil Dogs.

Oh gosh, all of these encouragements in everyone's posts today, are like life buoys, for me.
Thank you!!!!!!!!! πŸ₯° πŸ₯° πŸ₯°

After my Sunday setback :oops::rolleyes:o_O
then came my massive Monday.
:eek::sneaky::LOL:

I had a prescheduled complex dental appointment, yesterday (Monday.)😬
Well, no one here would enjoy that!
And me, ugh. It took close to 3 hours, and required repeated numbing injections, due to my not able to use the usual meds.
Thankfully I took extra cushions, but of course, I am thoroughly worn out, now,
and this morning felt like a scarier bigger overall setback, with difficulty moving my arms and legs.

But now it is nearly noon, and I am moving about, thankfully!!!!!!!!

I'm proud of myself for going thru with the procedure, which I really do need. There will be more stages of it, still to come.

I wisely scheduled absolutely nothing for today.
I'm thankful to be doing the tiny things that I am doing. There's no need for me to do anything extra, today.

I loved reading about what each of you are doing today, and this week. All of you make me smile, and I'm more able to muster my intrepid spirit.πŸ˜ΈπŸ˜„πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—

You should be proud of yourself! That was a tough appointment, and you did it! You go, girl! πŸ€— Damn.

Now you can relax today and bask in your accomplishments. :)

Glad your Ozzy-dog is feeling better, and the nasty fleas are gone. Yay! 🐢πŸ₯³

My favorite Tastykake was their streusel-topped Koffee Kake! Don't know if they still make them...

You went through a lot. No wonder you are worn out. Be kind to yourself.
