Hey everyone! My road trip starts tomorrow, so I'm not expecting to be able to post until later in the week. Take care of each other and keep each other out of trouble.I'd pick everyone up like I tried to do last time, but Kaila spilled ice cream all over the seats and I ruined the car trying to drive over the pond to pick up @Pam , so I'm going solo this time.
You men and ladies who visit this diary thread are awesome and I hope you know that!

I'm sorry you ruined your car trying to drive over the pond to pick me up....would have been a wasted journey as I'm out today.Hey everyone! Must be grooming day... Ozzy-dog is also set for grooming this morning. The combination of baths, diatomaceous earth, and intensive vacuuming seems to have resolved the flea problem.Speaking of Lucius, I have to take him out 30 minutes earlier than usual for his morning walk as the groomer is coming this morning. It's fun for him because he loves his groomer.![]()
When I was a kid and teenager I loved Ring Dings. Moved to CA and (sadness) no Ring Dings or Drakes. (Anytime a friend was coming from NY/NJ, I'd ask them bring me back RDs. My kids got hooked on them, too!)StarSong, You brought back Drakes! I used to like their Tastycakes.
As a kid, CT Did not carry any Drakes products. My parents were from PA and we had a reunion in each July. In those days my Uncle Nick who lived in New Jersey was some big shot at Drake's cake. He would come with Aunt Mary and boxes and boxes of Drake's cake for us all. We always liked the butterscotch tasty-cakes. Later our stores carried Drake's but not the tasty-cake line. When I was a kid and teenager I loved Ring Dings. Moved to CA and (sadness) no Ring Dings or Drakes. did not caeey Deake's.
I could buy them online, but they're pricey that way, plus somehow it's not quite the same.
They're in the kegerator fridge to keep them fresh (and out of sight). Today will be my 3 year old grandson's first experience of them... I'll cut one in thirds at snack time, 1/3 for each of us. Usually, DH & I share them to stretch out the joy.
3 boxes of 8 Ring Dings (all the store had in stock) won't last very long, so we'll savor them.
You should be proud of yourself! That was a tough appointment, and you did it! You go, girl!Oh gosh, all of these encouragements in everyone's posts today, are like life buoys, for me.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!![]()

After my Sunday setback
then came my massive Monday.
I had a prescheduled complex dental appointment, yesterday (Monday.)
Well, no one here would enjoy that!
And me, ugh. It took close to 3 hours, and required repeated numbing injections, due to my not able to use the usual meds.
Thankfully I took extra cushions, but of course, I am thoroughly worn out, now,
and this morning felt like a scarier bigger overall setback, with difficulty moving my arms and legs.
But now it is nearly noon, and I am moving about, thankfully!!!!!!!!
I'm proud of myself for going thru with the procedure, which I really do need. There will be more stages of it, still to come.
I wisely scheduled absolutely nothing for today.
I'm thankful to be doing the tiny things that I am doing. There's no need for me to do anything extra, today.
I loved reading about what each of you are doing today, and this week. All of you make me smile, and I'm more able to muster my intrepid spirit.![]()
Glad your Ozzy-dog is feeling better, and the nasty fleas are gone. Yay!Good morning, K-posse. Took a 3 hour nap yesterday and had a solid night's sleep. Hoping both will put me squarely back on Pacific Daylight Time. I spent last week where it was EDT and never fully adjusted, so coming back home very late Sunday night really whacked me yesterday.

@Kaila, I hope you have a good day today. Recovery from surgery or injuries is often two steps forward, one step back. Most important is the overall trajectory - you've come so far over the past five months and will continue to improve.Try to not let a day or two get you down.
My favorite Tastykake was their streusel-topped Koffee Kake! Don't know if they still make them...As a kid, CT Did not carry any Drakes products.
