My having less movement abilities recently, has made it more difficult to create additional plan B's, for meeting dh's needs and my own.
But I do continue to focus on positives, as much as I am able.!

I agree with what you mentioned, @Medusa
that the cold wintery temperatures, here too,
seem to have come on very suddenly and sharply.

Early mornings especially, such as those for dog walks (not me, but some of you) or for morning medical appointments, require warm layers and jackets, and nightime has become cold, and I needed extra blankets.

Is it that way as well, for those of you that are even farther north?

Most all of the trees , here, have gone thru their magnificent colorful shows, now, and are on to either bare branches, or the golden rusty orange leaves of late Autumn.

Day got away from me yesterday and I didn't make it here to Kaila's lovely thread. Things are on track today and it's a good day.

Husband is off and we will watch some PBR tonight. I think we have two nights of finals to watch. There is hockey too, but we're going to have to catch that up as we can.

Hung out on Zoom with boyfriend yesterday afternoon, which was nice.

I'm wanting to dive more into my hobbies again, sides AC, which I do love, but you know, other things. I'm thinking of making a poppet, which is what most people think of when imagining a Voodoo doll. I enjoy hand-sewing (it's peaceful and nice to do while listening to a book or music), and I think that would be a fun project. Or maybe an outfit for one of my Barbies. :) I don't know why I'm going into detail about it, actually. I'm sure you all appreciate being kept up on the minutia of my life. 🤣


@Kaila, hope you got some rest over the weekend and are feeling a bit better today. But, no pressure. ;)

Dear Kaila and friends
It’s definitely fall weather. Today it was 12 degrees so I wore a sweater over my top but ended up wrapping it around my waist while walking.

We start the fire every morning and before we go to bed. We let the fire go out during the day. Its definitely colder but nothing close to winter weather. With winter weather, we keep the Woodstove going all day long and wear our winter coats during our walks. At night our baseboard heaters kick in if it gets too cold. I’ve sensed them clicking on in the middle of the night while I get up to pee. Our heat pump manages to keep our whole house warm especially combined with the Woodstove and baseboard heaters.

There have been a few mornings were I awoke to frost on the roofs. Daytime weather is tolerable if dressed properly - vest under a moderate weight coat, ball cap and gloves. The past couple of days the wind has been biting and made for unpleasant walking. There’s been snow in the high mountain passes.
 
I've got another in my series of dental appointments, tomorrow morning, Tuesday. :rolleyes: :confused:

One plus (there aren't many 😄 )
is that as of this week, they have moved to a different office, which is closer to me.

After this one, I will have one in a few weeks, in November, and then I will have a break without dental appointments, in December and January.😃🥳🥳🥳😁☺️

Then after that, I hope to start again, as there is still more to be done.

My goals are less pain, and greater range of foods to eat;

And of course, a scintillating and mesmerizing, and breath-taking smile!😁😂😅🤣😂
 
Good morning, Kaila & Friends! I'm dealing with end-of-month paperwork and other stuff that came up, so I haven't been here as often, but I always catch up reading when I'm back. This is such a beautiful space you created here, Kaila! Gosh, almost a year now! I remember answering your very first post and saying that I'd put the thread on watch and would be taking this journey with you... and here we are!

Uh.... actually I just went back and checked out my first post... I was teasing you about giving the docs a hard time. And a few days ago, I told you to not bite the dentist. Gosh, with friends like Kate, who needs enemies, eh?! 😁

It's cool here .. people are wearing warm jackets - with shorts! As long as the sun is shining, it's a good day.

It is colder here now in the mornings but I like it so not complaining. Yesterday I sat outside in the sun and it was cool but with the sun on me it felt good. I hope to do the same today if the sun is out. Fall came quick here this year. Trees changed color and many have lost their leaves already.

I am still in my adjustment period, as many of you know, I lost my bunny boy almost 2 weeks ago. He did take up most of my day and now I have so much free time. Now I am making an effort to do things I didn't have time to do or put off.

Dental appointments don't sound like much fun. It is one of my biggest fears but I will have to start on it myself soon.

I've been up since 5A. Bleh. Just one of those mornings I couldn't get back to sleep after waking to take my Levo.
I'm having a early coffee, which means I'll likely have another, which means I'll need to squeeze in an additional 100 cals. today, somehow. Or, just accept that the day is what it is and not worry about it. I'll see how it goes. 😆:coffee:

The bright side is that I'll get to my morning things in well enough time and my morning won't be running late. Honestly, though, I'd rather have the sleep and be a bit rushed for the first few hours. Oh well.

@Kaila, good thoughts for your dental appointment this morning. You deserve some coffee ice cream!
I love your smile; it comes through when you talk about the hummingbirds and flowers, among other things. 🤗

@Jules, I'm afraid we may be headed the same way with our weather. My autumn coat is almost not enough and it seems so early for that.

I'm sorry you've lost your little friend. :( I'm sure your bunny lived a wonderful life because they had you as their person. It was obvious you were devoted. 🤗

@Pam, happy you got your new laptop. Since I'd previously had Windows 10, when I got this lappy it didn't seem a whole lot different.

In my quest to utilize my little crock pot, yesterday I threw in some ground beef, onions, celery and cut up potato, seasoned with rosemary. Not fabulous, but good enough.

@Kaila, I have salmon in the freezer but keep forgetting about it.

Thanks... I'm getting there...I think..:ROFLMAO:.

Seriously though, I have now found where to store any new pictures and found notepad etc. so yes, definitely getting there. @RadishRose - I think it was a lack of confidence at first, just frightened of pressing wrong keys. Confidence coming back, thank goodness. :)
