Gentle posts for gentle folks

Kaila, I would love to see all those Eastern Bluebirds and other pretty coloured birds.

For you easterners, is winter coming earlier and is it nastier than usual? It’s late for us, though it’s finally here. Then this weekend they’re talking rain. The patterns aren’t what I’ve grown to expect.
For many years here, full winter weather would start by November 1st ;
Not in recent years.

Last year, it didn't really start till mid December.

So this year, it's either late or early.
Depending on how you look at it.
Very late, or very early, even. 🙃😄😁

I had a google to look at Eastern Bluebirds, they look lovely. How fortunate you are to get a visit from them @Kaila.

As for the idea of building a snowman... I think you made the right decision there. :ROFLMAO: ☃️ Having said that, I am a little envious as we don't get much snow in this area. When we do it's usually a light dusting. On the odd occasion when it settles, it's not usually more than about an inch or so and soon clears up. Having said that... it'll probably snow like mad this winter. ❄️❄️

Grandson is on day off today so he got his hair cut then came round and had a bite to eat with me and a general chit chat. Dad picked him up about 3ish and they went off to buy a Christmas tree. 🎄

It's wonderful to hear from you today, as always,
@Pam

I agree, that you are far more likely to get snow, now that you made that quick comment without thoroughly considering the ramifications. 😁😆😄

In addition it is more likely to be a blizzard.
🤣😂😊😄
And possibly arriving at a moment when you've just stepped out your door, or out of the hair stylist. 🫣☺️😊😚🤗🤭

If I reconsider and decide to take dh outdoors to build a☃️
Would you be willing to pop over to help, or to provide a 🥕 for a nose?

I do need my sense of humor to get thru a winter, here!😉😊🫠

The visit from the🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦
It's a great help as well!
I'm glad you looked them up.
😀

Good Afternoon, Kaila and Friends. 🤗 :coffee:🌲

My day is running four hours behind because son and I got into one of our marathon talks. :) Problems with some of the "science" in my beloved Star Trek Universe, epigenetics, types of government surveillance past, present and potential, near global empires of the past, current draconian rulerships, what is truly inherent in human nature and what is learned, ways our way of life could look very different now had different choices been made a certain points in the timeline, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember now. (Probably more info. than you guys needed to get the point. LOL Hereinafter, I'll just say, "marathon talk," and you'll know what I mean. )

What's funny is that we stopped talking only because the dog needed walking and I really needed to get to my treadmill, exercises and making something to eat. And, ran into each other in the kitchen later and kept talking. Sometimes we just get a groove.

How is everyone faring in the snow, if you've got it? I feel like I dodged a snow-bullet. It snowed here, but by the time I went upstairs to make coffee it was raining and all the snow had been washed away.

@Kaila, I will join you in Florida! How did your little plant hold up in the snow? Nice that you have bluebirds to enjoy. :)

Hoping everyone on this lovely thread is feeling good and staying warm today.

Good evening Kaila and friends. It’s actually late afternoon but will be early evening by time I’m finished writing.

@katlupe- I can relate to your sentiments about writing when you are not feeling well emotionally.

@Pam - I couldn’t help chuckling about the wrong venue. That was kind of cute.

@Medusa- it’s great that you found a YouTube video that’s inspired you with your quilting project. What’s animal crossing?

@CallMeKate - I love the idea of baked beans on mashed potatoes.

@RadishRose - Those carrots and onion dishes look amazing. It’s too bad we couldn’t all get together for a pot luck dinner.

@Kaila - I like the fact that this thread is a ‘come as you are’ thread. I’m glad your day brightened up.

@MarciKS - I hope you enjoy your snow

Today went for a late walk. Once again, we missed the rain. Tonight we are supposed to get snow. I ‘m not sure how much and if it’s going to stay. I hope so, cause I like the snow.
