Good Afternoon, Kaila and Friends.

I have finished the first-part-of-the-day things and it's nearly time now to take Lucius for his second walk. I admit I'm not looking forward to it. Lucius is great company, but the cold is not.

Husband and I watched our hockey team not win, a-freaking-gain! Yeesh, they're going through a bad patch.

@Kaila, sorry for your trouble with the snow. Freaking snow. :/ I know things have been a bit difficult, lately; keeping good thoughts for you.

@Pam, it's good that your pictures are safe and you have it all taken care of now. A virtual party on the 8th sounds fun.

@MarciKS, glad you got some sleep, at least; that can be so helpful, overall.

Wishing everyone on this lovely thread a peaceful Thursday. (With coffee, because duh.)

Hello everyone, this early evening on Thursday.

Thanks for each one of those wonderful posts, above!.

I had p.t., this morning.
I'm very thankful, for the care I receive there,
and am always extremely thankful in addition (and amazed)
At how close to home this specialized p.t. place is for me!

That's a very big plus.

Thank you, Kate, for noting that it is 1 year, this week, since this thread began.

I'm thankful for each and every one of you,
for what you add to it.

I got 2 amaryllis bulbs , to put into pots, sometime in the next couple of weeks.
I enjoy watching them grow even more than I enjoy the eventual flowers.

Tomorrow we are forecast for extreme low temps, and with wind chill,
and I considered canceling my medical appointment for tomorrow.

But I've decided that it's important for me so I will wait and see......
If both the car, and myself will manage to start, in the morning.

It was physically difficult and stressful to tend to my dear old cat's medical needs today, but I had let it go too long, and needed to do it.

She hated it,
But she seems peaceful and contented, now.

Kaila, you tell us of the pretty birds in your backyard. I’m envious. Lately all we have are four Canada Geese flying north. That’s usually a sign of spring. I’m 100% sure they’re just playing with us.

Good morning Kaila & Friends. It's Friday, sun's not up yet although I've been up for two hours. Must be too cold for the sun to peek out but... well, it's only 5:30 so it'll show up in about 90 minutes! It's currently 10 degrees and definitely a 2-coffee morning!

Good Morning, Kaila & Friends! I have been up since 3 this morning. Once I wake up, I get up. My computer chair is more comfortable than the recliner. 0 degrees here this morning. I am trying to stay warm the best I can. Hoping when it gets light it will warm up a little bit at least.

I am running a bit behind today, but I'm not worried about it. Husband is off today and, along with son, taking the dog walks to keep me out of the cold (which I have trouble with) so, I'm treadmilling instead.

My quilting project is turning out to be a bit more expensive to start up than I'd anticipated so, I'm going to order this and that, here and there until I have what I need. In the meantime, there is a really cute, cut-and-sew cloth fairy doll with baby project I might order.

It's looking to be a normal day for me... as normal as my days get, anyway.

@Kaila, hope your appointment went well today and you are home and warm now.

A quilt, certainly can be a very expensive project to embark upon.
A smaller project that you could start right into, and focus on, might be more helpful, for the present time.

Or perhaps, making some practice quilt squares from leftover fabric peices that you already have?

My appointment went well, but was so very exhausting for me.
Being worn out and not feeling well afterward; therefore I haven't been able to get a much needed sleep-nap, this afternoon.

I'm resting now, and hoping for an okay evening. And a better night's sleep.

I wore a favorite old (very old) sweater, out to my appointment this morning, and it was up to the task on a frigid day, both up against the arctic chill, and providing emotional comfort as well.

The day is on track thus far. I've walked Lucius twice, done my exercises, etc. Husband is working today, closing, and boyfriend is at a Christmas decorating party so I won't see either of them until this evening, if not tomorrow. A little bit of extra time with just myself is not a bad thing, though.

How's everyone doing today?

@Kaila, that's what I'm thinking; there is a cute cut-and-sew project for a cloth fairy doll I'm thinking of ordering. I can order the quilting supplies bit by bit in the meantime. --Good for you for getting to your appointment yesterday. Hoping you got some rest last night and will get more today.

Hello friends, on another cold and dark winter evening.

Oh how I miss those long, balmy , and well lit evenings of summer.

The sky today was a milky mix of Grey and White, and there were some random light snowfalls.
Pretty enough while they drifted by the windows.



It was a mostly rest day, which was sorely needed.

I got a grocery order made up for tomorrow. It's always suspenseful, to see which items they might not have.
