Geraldo Rivera's Twitter Pic

I was hearing about this on the radio, and had to check it out. It's the 70 year old reporter, Geraldo Rivera, who posted this picture on his twitter account, and tried to delete it a couple of hours later. Of course, on the internet, photos like that spread around too fast to delete. He's saying that 70 is the new 50. :p

Seriously, what is wrong with him?...So juvenile and low class! The least he could have done was hire a photographer to take a glamor shot, if he is so determined to put it all out there.

I don't know what he was thinking. I don't belong to Twitter or Facebook, but I guess that picture got some tongues waggin' for sure, LOL. :playful: No going back when you post photos on social sites like that from what I hear.

We'll have to check what's on his Facebook page after all that!!! :p One of the comments on the site Seabreeze posted was that he was spending too much time with Anthony Weiner.....:giggle:

Same difference, like that song..."the girls all get prettier at closin' time".

I seriously don't see what's so terrible about it. I'd rather see him than some morbidly obese American doing a self-portrait.

We bitch and moan about the world being geared to the younger generation, then when someone like Geraldo has the cojones to actually DO something about it we bitch and moan with renewed vigor.

I guess there's just no pleasing some people ...

Oh, and here's me ...

Ah, okay, I didn't realize he indulged in full exposure - I agree with you that that is just totally wrong.

And if it's just another way to keep his name in the news, then it's more than just wrong - it's pathetic.

Honestly, Geraldo looked pretty good for a man of 70, but that's not really the point. The photo was extremely inappropriate and tacky, he never did hide being full of himself. Sifu, you look great...but then again, you're a spring chicken, give us an update in twenty years. ;)

Geraldo didn't actually have a full frontal pic..he was covered by a towel starting at a strategic point..here's a link to the story and pic:http://news.yahoo.com/geraldo-posts-half-nude-selfie-to-twitter--internet-erupts-203118227.html

Well, if nothing else, he is getting everyone's attention. This reminds me of the Burt Renold's picture in Playgirl years ago. Old Geraldo is not showing as much as Burt did and everyone soon forgot about that as we will with Geraldo too. I guess my take on these kinds of pictures is that if a young man can do it, there is no reason an older fellow can't. If people don't like it - don't look at it.

It may be in bad taste, but really folks, is it hurting anyone but him? No and he is likely getting a real kick out of being in the news again.

I was wondering about that - it seemed out of character, even for him ...

Geraldo never fails to amuse . . .

How very true, and that's the business he's in. We have to remember that he's in the same league as porn stars, Eminem and Brad Pitt - we may hate them or love them, but their sole purpose is to entertain us.

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!? :disgust:

Well said!

By the way, watch for my spread next month in Institutional Insider - I'm going to be taking off my straight-jacket and doing a hydrotherapy scene!

I guess my take on it was if he wants to be taken seriously as an attorney and journalist, don't do those kind of things; young or old. If you're an actor or Hollywood type, then whatever....people don't take you very seriously anyway.

The calendar isn't a bad idea, tho....if done to raise money for charity, go for it, I'd say. Also, not a good idea for a family man; can't imagine how kids would ever live that down in school. :(

I don't like The Talk, or Julie Chen...never cared for that show. I agree Anne, I was just thinking about the reflection on himself and his career...just a negative, IMO. He could've been photographed in a swimsuit at the ocean, and it would've been a lot better than the towel thingy.

"Selfies" are all the rage with the narcissists...
