I put this mental health, because this messed with me bad. I clicked on a news link that took me to a Yahoo news article. Fine. Get done, am surfing around and then I search for something ( I have Brave browser set to use Google. Hit enter, and the results are not from google, they are from Yahoo search engine. That begins my 1 1/2 hour work to fix this. I first run Malwarebytes, and it detects nothing. I search online to see what's going on. I have got the "yahoo redirect virus."
So, I start looking on Reddit and everywhere on how to remove this from my computer. It looks bad. Many people could not get rid of it and had to uninstall their browser. Eventually that is what I had to do. Fortunately, Brave somehow remembers how I set it up. I am not sure yet of any other problems, but what a bugster to wake up to!!! Argggggggg!

Yeah, I have one on my laptop that I've tried to get rid off for a week with no results. My virus program isn't recognizing it or something. I've tried everything I know to do to get rid of it.

I have an appointment next week to have it looked at.

In the meantime, I'm doing everything on the phone. Slow, but it does the job.

Oh no; I have Malwarebytes, too! I have to visit a lot of sites, including from other countries (e.g., China), so I try to make sure I have excellent antivirus protection. Apparently, I don't.

Good luck! Sounds very frustrating.

You dd good. I would have had to toss my entire computer (it's an all in one).

Thanks...it is getting back to "normal". I have had to do this before. Each time it seems like as I put things back together, I have entered a new phase in my life. So, it is kind of like getting rid of the "old" and going on with "new". That is fun.
