Giving UP On Facebook

I have a FB page, I check on it about three times a year. When it first came out, people posted things, but now, nobody really does anymore. EXCEPT, a "friend", who is in a"band", and posts every thing about his totally, endlessly fascinating life. (huge rolling eyes smiley).

Not much of a FB fan; I log on maybe once or twice a month for a few minutes. I look at posts from niece, nephew, and a couple friends.

Ironic that some people need to go on FB and tell everyone how busy they are.

Yeah, we're social media, but we don't as a general rule post personal pictures and we do not give out personal information. A neighbor of mine who was much enamored of Facebook and posting every little thing she did posted to her page that they were going on a trip and how long they would be gone, etc., and guess what happened while they were gone? Yup, they got burgled.

Please go back and read post #33 - there was no reference to FB - just "social media" and "no desire to participate".

Whole thread is about Facebook. Didn't mean to ruffle your feathers.

lol - feathers not ruffled - I'm just surprised you don't see the irony of someone who "has no desire to participate" in "social media" yet has posted on this site alone almost 5,000 times.

FB also stands for Forum Busybody.
Flitting back & forth between a few forums, rarely contributing anything of substance, stirring the pot behind the scenes while pretending to be 'upfront' and oh-so-caring.

Most sites have at least one FB.
