Glamorous heels that are....comfortable?

Ooer ... heels are one thing and can look quite sexy ... but platforms. That's a blast from the past back to the 70's.
Platforms have been back in fashion for at least a couple of years now. I still have a pair of 4 inch platform shoes that I wore in the 70's..

My daughter at around 14 came home from school and said she was studying fashions through the ages.. and I told her I had platform shoes. She'd never seen any .. so I got them down from the loft.. and she didn't stop laughing for about half an hour.... :ROFLMAO:

I'll probably regret posting this, but I know I'm out of touch being retired a long time. Does anyone still wear classic basic styles like this today?

Yes, but with a much lower heel, like one to one and a half inches. I haven't worn heels like that in decades. I'm quite sure I'd fall out of them now. IMO classic pumps never go out of style.

Re OP: It's about time someone made comfortable dressy shoes for the glamorous. I'm surprised at the chunky heels being worn on the red carpet(s) though. But I know how it is...if something gets touted enough, especially by celebrities, it becomes the new fashion trend.

Yes, a good point. I don't think my example was really typical of what women really wore in the workplace, even those in "power roles." At least not in my experience.
Actually I think a lot of women wear heels like that in the work place, especially in "power" positions. But there was a trend that started in New York (I think), women who took public transportation would wear sneakers with their business suits and change when they got to work.

Oh I can remember that going on as early as the 1980s here. Of course we have slushy and very snowy months, so switching out dress shoes and boots or sneakers may just have been routine here for a long time.

I'm not sure I'd classify them as "glamorous"....they're kinda clunky. AND I'd still fall off them and break something.
I’m not sure they are classified as glamorous either. They aren’t something I’d necessarily wear . I just picked them cause the heels are small and they are covered in bling. I’m not personally the type of person to glam out anyway. The sandals are more my style which is why I added them. Some people like fancy bling and some don’t.

There is the elevator shoes aspect, but I also thought they were used to give those with slack muscle tone more of an illusion of fit legs by bunching calf muscles and such.
