The query "Came Chuly" likely refers to the artist Dale Chihuly, known for his elaborate glass sculptures and installations. His work is frequently displayed in botanical gardens and other public spaces. Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Columbus, Ohio, for example, has a large permanent Chihuly collection, according to their website. Maker's Mark in Kentucky is also hosting a Chihuly exhibition from July 19 to December 7, 2025.

Looking at a few of his pieces on Google, I realized I had seen some here and there on the internet.

Back in 1967, we spent the day on the isle of Murano near Venice, home of the famous glassblowers.

They had a free program where they offered a boat ride to the isle, tours of the studios, lessons and lunch with the artisans. Of course, they were hoping you'd buy something expensive.

Inpecunious teens that we were, we bought something really cheap (maybe a dollar or two). But what a day! It left me with a great love and admiration for the glass arts.
 
I have two Murano glass choker necklaces that I bought at The Venetian in Vegas. I saw them in a store and lusted mightily after them. Then I went downstairs and won a nice piece of money on a penny slot machine.

I marched upstairs immediately and got both of them. Luckily, they were on sale. They're big chunky beads on a black silk cord, one is blue and the other one is bronze. I probably only wear them once a year, but I'll never get rid of them.

There's a glass-blowing studio somewhere around here and I want to go see if I can get a garnet-colored heart blown that will have my sister's ashes inside it or maybe incorporated into the glass. Then I'm going to get it attached to a dainty little hair-pin tray that's in the shape of a hand that belonged to our great-grandmother.

Yes, his work is certainly outstanding. You can always tell that it's him. I like the ones that hang from the ceiling, chandeliers. And the ones on poles are nice too.
