God, or not? A Christian Discussion

I believe that God-Jehovah and God-Jesus were simply extraterrestrials exploring distant stars and planets. To us mere mortals they seemed to be "gods." I also think that Olivia and Oslooskar should try and meet. They just may make good marriage partners.

Jokin apart: Moses starts the story:? It has at times been suggested that Moses wrote the book of Genesis guided by the Spirit of God? - read it all if you wish but I skip to v26 [probably used before] Then God said "Let us make man in our image etc etc" v27 So he did! ........male and female he created them. God blessed them ??????????? doesn't say how?????? but did say increase in numbers ; fill the earth and subdue it?? and then said ..............I give you all to survive with [ I paraphrase] surely he didn't set it up for failure?? unless Moses was either psychotic or ?????????

NB: And the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life etc ch2 v: 7

have we improved this one iota yet?? - forget the historics tell me the medical/chemistries ??

It's also much easier in Thailand they are all waitin for yea and ya wallet!!

Smiley, your grasp of Thailand seems limited to what you can see between bar stools and cleavage. Try venturing beyond the bars, brothels, and massage parlors sometime, you might discover that there is an actual country out there.

I don't even know what say but to start with l never would have guessed you are 83. You seem to have a very lucid young mind and articulate with speaking your thoughts. And you.ve been almost kind to me this time. l'll be 77 by the end of this month. Just the facts.

Thank you, Olivia. I’ll consider that high praise coming from a lady of your poise and precision.

Good thinking. My father got remarried, and my inheritance went down the drain, not that I didn't do fine without it, but being tossed aside is kind of an empty feeling.

I understand, believe me, I do. My paternal grandfather was a wealthy banker who died of a heart attack while traveling in France in 1958, accompanied by his second wife, who inherited all of his wealth. A few years later, she remarried, and shortly thereafter, she died, leaving all of my grandfather’s money to her new husband, a man who was no relation to our family. My father and his brother were financially secure, but needless to say, they were very upset that a complete stranger ended up with their father's entire estate.

In my father's case, he and my step mother made out identical wills so that whoever outlived the other would divide the inheritance between the children of both of them. My father died less than a year before my stepmother, who immediately rewrote her will, so that one of her daughters got everything.

I'm actually laughing out loud right now thinking about it. I doubt that either one of them had a lot of money. My father never made a lot. He did inherit a huge amount from my grandfather, enough that would sustain a prudent person for the rest of his life, and typical of my father, he immediately quit his job, married my stepmother and quickly squandered the inheritance through poor money management, living beyond his means, and one very obviously stupid financial investment, where he invested everything and then lost everything [EVERYTHING!] that was left. He returned to his old job and worked a couple more years, until he could collect social security, and then he and my step mother moved into a trailer.

I'm laughing now, partly out of embarrassment, because the whole things sounds like a comedy script from a movie. But it was MY family. And I could have predicted the whole thing years before any of it happened.

Not sure, but there may only be a few Polytheists on our Forum, or none.

Realize that many have a hard time believing in one God, let alone numerous ones.

If I believe that I am watched over by multiple Gods and they direct my life and fate, it's what I believe.

Also, if there is a place for me after I pass and gives me comfort, it harms no one...

Seems like a matchmaker isn't good enough any more. Nowadays it takes a professional genealogist.
And even she could end up marrying BTK. l think women take the biggist risk.
