Just make sure your "doctor" is a real honest-to-goodness DOCTOR with "M D" after their name and NOT some other initials !
Unfortunately, where we live there are very few MD's. They are mostly DO's or Nurse Practitioners. We have a new-to-us MD but he is so packed all the time that he is in and out in a flash. I just recently discovered from bloodwork done a month ago that my glucose and A1c are high. He wrote on my results that everything was "good"! I'm going in to see him with my husband on the 26th, who has an appointment that day, to ask questions. If he brushes me off with they were "good", I'm finding someone else...even if it's a DO or a Nurse Practitioner.
