Good morning, day, afternoon evening, night, happy whatever etc. #6-New !

What a scorcher, phew, and phew again... that means it was really hot here today. 😊

I took a parcel in for the lovely lady over the road, and because I heard all kinds of shouting and laughter coming from her back garden, I walked over to deliver the parcel.
The garden had a large circular paddling pool about a foot deep and three 10 year old girls were splashing about in it, so, I asked the lovely lady if I could sit in the pool.
After calling me all the daft old beggars, she laughed and said "OK." 😊
There I was in my teeshirt and shorts cooling down nicely, when one of the girls poured a bucket of water over my head... I yelled, "More, more, more," and the girls laughing out loud, took it in turns to shower me 😊

I'm back home again now and I'm like a baked potatoe, so I'll have to have a long cold shower, enjoy your evening. 😊

The heat has been so relentless that I went looking for and found an old cooling fan in the shed, cleaned it up and I've had it blowing at me all evening.
The problem with it though is that it's noisy, so trying to watch TV was a waste of time, so, I dug out a pile of CDs, put my ear-phones on and listened to music instead. 😊

I'm off to bed now, sleeping nude ontop of the sheets. 😊

Since I've been here, you've always shared such interesting stories. Have you or have you thought about publishing a book of essays or slice-of-life vignettes? I'm sure it would bring joy to so many.

Goodmorning everyone. 😊

I've been sauntering around the garden since 5am.
It was so hot during the night, I've even foregone my usual gallons of tea and instead, I'm sipping iced fruit juice.
I could do with one of those little helicopter things that can be sent up in the air to look down on the area, then, if there was someone with a big swimming pool, I could pay them a visit and 'accidentally on purpose' fall into it. 😊

Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, do enjoy your day. Smiling helps too. 😊
