Got my first air fryer as a gift this weekend and haven't used it yet. It's still shiny and sitting in its new spot. Truth is, I don't know if I will ever use it. I'm old school and like cooking with pots and pan on the stove or in the oven. My microwave even died a few years ago and I never replaced it. I'm just trying to find an excuse to use. Are they really that good and worth the hype?

I use ours (given as a gift also) for frozen fried shrimp mostly and fries at times. Mine has baking mode too and I use it more in baking mode during summer months as it doesn't heat the house up as much as my range oven does. I tried my frozen burrito in it when my micro went out last week but I don't like those crispy. It will crisp things if you like and can eat that texture.
