I remember being on a rough work crew in my school days. Had mine lifted with a hobnailed boot a few times.
I live in that reality too. I try to remain positive, often it's not so easy. Keep your chin up, as they say.I'm not in despair. I'm fine except for the loneliness.![]()
Sorry Ruthanne, I was trying to offer a kind word.Excuse me? You didn't create this site and obviously don't know what all this site is about. For one thing we express our feelings good and bad and it's been fine with the founder. If you have a problem with this thread feel free to go to another one. You don't dictate what is expressed here. And have a good evening.
Well I'm sorry for the rant. I guess I misunderstood you. I'm a bit touchy right now.Sorry Ruthanne, I was trying to offer a kind word.
I hear you! It's a hard time of year for me, too.Holidays are difficult. Especially if you are left alone. My downward spiral always starts on my late husband's birthday and ends after his death anniversary. Sorry to be so glum. It's just the way things are for some of us.
Same here. This will be the first holidays without my hubby. He died October 13th, then there was our anniversary the day after he passed, then his birthday would have been November 2nd. Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday and we always had his kids and I made the meal. Then there's Christmas coming. I didn't put out any decorations this year. No grandchildren to spoil and his kids live in AZ and CA so I won't have anyone here with me in PA. I'll be glad when this season is over.Holidays are difficult. Especially if you are left alone. Lol, me too; I am so sick of housework, especially laundry and paying bills/balancing checkbooks.having something to do, for me, as I get older ,is wishing I didn't have so much to do!
Hugs, Colleen. The holidays can be so hard, so instead of Happy New Year I'm going to wish you a better new year.Same here. This will be the first holidays without my hubby. So sorry, Pepper, I hope you get better soon.I'm miserable. It's the covid speaking
I use the app more than my computer. I like using both but I can sit on the couch using the app. When I sit at the computerfor too long my neck and back start hurting so that's the difference for me.
I am particularly feeling lonely. I was thinking of inviting someone for Christmas but they may be visiting their relatives. You can start a conversation with me if you like.
awww you poor gal! hope you're doing ok despite it. gosh that stuff is awful!I'm miserable. It's the covid speaking

Loneliness can be experienced even by those not living alone, it is not always noticed by others. It's something inside a person that is an emptiness.Ok, even though I prefer right now to live alone with my little pets I get occasions where I feel lonely for some companionship, conversation, interacting. I want to talk to someone. Anyone else here feel that way now?![]()

Whereas yesterday I went loony from doing the same. However, you still work, so you need the peace of aloneness more than I do.I've been alone for days. Don't mind it a bit.
Loneliness can have serious health repercussions. It comes in different forms for different people and has different causes. It’s important to realize why we feel lonely, because only then can we understand how we might address it.Combat loneliness by being your own best friend. Treat yourself special. It’s not being selfish or self-centered.
Loneliness is a state of mind. Distract yourself with something interesting …. A good book, music you enjoy, an absorbing puzzle (e-jigsaw puzzles is my latest distraction).
Maybe I can get my Doc to prescribe a fantasy relationship for me.Loneliness can have serious health repercussions. It comes in different forms for different people and has different causes. It’s important to realize why we feel lonely, because only then can we understand how we might address it.
