Arizona voters recently voted it illegal I think.
There are lots of states camera traffic cops are illegal in.
I don't really care, but there ARE lots of people who run red lights. They think yellow means floor it.
On the other hand, I had to pay an out of state ticket from a traffic camera cop:
I was driving an Ecodiesel 1500 RAM truck,
pulling a 31', 6500lb trailer; v-6 engine, diesel. This was not a speedy type rig, trust me. And they don't stop on a dime, either, as the truck alone weighs like, 6,000 lbs?
In my case, the rig was simply too heavy to stop, and I wasn't speeding and in fact going slower than the speed limit when I came around this
long curve. In a split second, I
saw the yellow light come on, but determined in my head:
"It is 0530am, I don't see any other vehicles around at all. So instead of a
panic stop with a 6500lb trailer behind me, I just stayed the same speed and drifted on through the intersection.
Several months later, I got this thing in the mail, saying I was here on such and such a date...and a photo of the truck IN the intersection, and the trailer not in the intersection yet. At first I could not remember me there at that time! I thought someone had stolen the truck and trailer!

Senior moment in spades!
I paid the $78.00 ticket. Beats what a jackknife or having the trailer brakes lock up.
