In Texas people revolted and now they ban the traffic cameras in that State. In Alberta, they are eliminating 70 percent of the traffic cameras. People from this State and this Province actually stood up for themselves.
That can happen sometimes when people are together on an issue. But in order for that to happen where you are, you need a movement. Perhaps one already is in place, or perhaps the support is not there. At the speed that legislation takes place, by the time, they remove the cameras, you will have already paid the fine, gone to jail, or had the case dismissed.
A woman I worked with years ago, got a ticket on her way to work. I can't remember what it was for, but like you, she was steaming angry. Another guy in the lunch room casually said, "Let's find something wrong with the way the ticket was written." She handed him the ticket, and almost immediately he said, "This is the wrong date. The cop put yesterday's date on the ticket." She went to court, showed the judge the error and he dismissed the case.
Of course you believe the principle of the thing is wrong. She beat the ticket on a technicality, which may or may not satisfy you, if in fact there is a technicality the judge would accept. I would pay the ticket and put it behind me. Call me a sheep, but I've got better things to do than getting in a fight over a traffic violation.
I do hope this works out in some favorable way for you. Let us know how it turns out.
