Also, be thankful they caught the woman. I was rear-ended some years ago at a u-turn to get onto the freeway and the guy went around me and took off.

well they''ll probably arrest her at the hospital. It's a ruse some choose to take when they're in the wrong, they often feel that they won't be arrested if they're in a hospital bed...

In most states they wont place someone under arrest unless its a serious crime. If they arrest them then they have to provide an officer to stay with them AND are responsible for the hospital bill. Seen several serious DUI folks walk out the door to an officer waiting with cuffs.
