Graham Greene, Oscar-nominated "Dances with Wolves" actor, dies at 73

Oh my, really liked this actor!

I remember him in “The Green Mile.”

I recognized his face instantly, but never knew his name. I had seen him in The Green Mile, Die Hard With A Vengeance and likely a couple of T.V. shows. Just checked Wikipedia to read more about him. His was Native American, as I suspected and was of the Canadian Oneida people. Interestingly he was a cousin to Gary Dale Farmer of the Canadian First Nation Cayuga people. Gary played a Native American in Resident Alien. It was good to see Native Americans being so prominently represented in that show. But I digress. May Mr. Greene R.I.P.

He was a hard working actor with a dry sense of humor.

I remember him most from Northern Exposure but he appeared in many movies and television programs over the years.

I have watched anything and everything he is in, his personality just always came through.
What a great role model he is for Native Americans. Will be missed.

“Dances With Wolves” and “The Green Mile” were both very good movies. I remember seeing him in both movies. I thought he was very good in “Dances With Wolves” and kind of surprised he didn’t win an Oscar. He played a small part in “The Green Mile.”

I got to meet him on several occasions and actually sold him a crossbow. He was quite a character and liked to laugh. He actually came in the shop to find out what was involved in buying firearms in Canada. He didn't think he would have the patience to go through all of the training and testing so he thought he would try target shooting with a crossbow instead, because the laws weren't nearly as strict.
I did try to talk to him about his acting career but he didn't seem to want to get into that conversation. I just assumed that it was modesty on his part.
Seemed like a nice man. I di like his acting as well.
