Graham Nash removes his music from Spotify

well in the words of someone who can really rock, paraphrased "we don't need him around."

Aging rockstar gets free publicity one last time.

I was thinking more like ..... washed-up has been rockers get publicity one last time.

To be honest , I never cared for most rock & roll , never listened much to the ones noted , and don't even know who Joe what's-his-name is . Never listened to Spotify ..... as such, I really don't care.

We saw them live in 2011-2012. Fantastic show!

[Lynyrd Skynyrd]
Dug up my old ticket stub, Devi. This was a little more than a year before Ronnie Van Zant and others perished in a plane crash.
Fantastic show, indeed!

Of course it's conjecture. But it has gone from crazy, conspiracy-theory type speculation to a mainstream theory. There isn't any definitive proof that Wuhan was transmitted by an animal, either.

My point, if I have one, is that people in a free society ought to be able to discuss different ideas and theories. I know there are limits. But mainstream science vehemently denied the existence of bacteria until about 1880. Pasteur and a few others were definitely outliers.

excellent point ..... many many things were finally discovered of found out by those who continue to QUESTION not those who just say well it is circumstantial items pointing that way....
I never in my life saw as many people who simply have zero curiosity almost robot like and must believe what is told even if it does not make sense....
Misinformation is a vague term used to shut down debate and questions.....
spotify has had many new folks tuning in or looking at site that perhap NEVER had ....... Neil young did not hurt them at all in fact the opposite

Good point, Murrmurr, what did Rogan say? I have never heard of him until I say his name on this site but I'll be watching for someone to "educate" me on what Mr. or is it Mrs. Rogan didsay that makes these singers so mad. I do know Spotify but all I play on their site are songs by Stompin' Tom Connors, Bert Kaempfert or Grandpa Jones for example.
What did Rogan say that caused all this? (I don't do Spotify)

I've tried to find an article or whatever that says what he said but none of them say what he said. They just say misinformation or false information. I did read several articles that said only 87 of the 270 signers of the written complaint to Spotify are medical doctors and the rest are from assorted professions including engineers, teachers, and psychologists, a veterinarian, a dentist, a social worker, physicians' assistants, and one biochemist, and that just under 100 of them are either Ph.Ds or Ph.D candidates.

I think it's hilarious that maybe we've been misinformed about who's who on that letter.

He had a guest on his podcast who talked about the mRNA vaccine. I didn't see the show, either, but from what I've been able to gather, the guest, a doctor and immunology researcher, discussed some issues with covid data-collection and the downside and/or limitations of the vaccine. Ruffled some feathers, not surprisingly.

I have always been for free speech and still am. If it is done in a correct and peaceful way than people should have the right to express their feelings. The artists also who have removed their music from the platform also have every right to protest in any form they want to unless it is violent or destructive which it is not and that is there right. The people also have every right to either listen or not to Joe Rogan and his program.
