hello everyone. i do like the look of this forum although it may take me a while to understand all the things you can do on this well organised site.

i'm aged 72 next month and live with my beloved black cat in a wonderful location in s.e. qld. for most of my life i've been single and independent, by choice. was married for a few years but hubbie now dead quite some time ago. no kids -also by choice - and i have wonderful friends and consider myself to be very blessed.

as you can guess by my moniker, may hem, i do like to stir a bit but try not to hurt the feelings of others even if we disagree. i enjoy following the quality alternative press on the internet and am always suspicious of what i read in today's disappointing mainstream media. it amazes me that so many people are so easily fooled, especially in the area of politics.

by the way, i rarely use capital letters. am a bit lazy and cannot understand why we need them and i guess i like to be democratic - all letters are equal (just joking).

so cheers everyone. i look forward to hearing your stories and opinions and getting to know you all better.

S E Queensland eh? Now that's a bit of a worry.

Only joking, my sister lives somewhere near you.
Welcome to the forum, may hem, and stir away to your heart's content.
I look forward to your contributions.

Welcome, may hem! I hope you'll be happy here, and I know you'll be an asset.

My husband and I always thought that if we happened to acquire two kittens together we would name them Mayhem and Melee, as surely that's what we would have.

Hi May hem, and a big Welcome.
I am in Northern NSW, so when it is hot here, you would be having hot weather too.
Look forward to seeing your posts, hope you will be happy here.
