Greetings from Southeast Texas

Hello everyone,

I thought I would introduce myself after recently discovering this forum.

I’m originally from the UK (Blyth, Northumberland) but have lived in the United States (NY, MN, MI, OK, TX) for 40+ years and am now in southeast Texas not too far from Houston.

These days I live fairly quietly and was hoping to find a place for friendly conversation with people who enjoy discussing everyday life and interests.

Some of the things I enjoy are cooking (especially traditional regional dishes), classical music, travel (often food-centric), and general aviation (1000-hr PP ASEL?Instr. but no longer active owing to age/health ).

I also enjoy hearing about people’s life experiences and perspectives.

I happened across Senior Forums while searching for places where thoughtful conversation still happens, and it seems like a very welcoming community.

I look forward to joining some of the discussions in due course.

I have not traveled nearly so much as you. I lived in Dallas, and now in Central Texas, well north of Houston.
When navigating the forum, you will likely find several threads that match your interests. I hope you enjoy your time here, and we look forward to getting to know you.
