Hi to everyone,
I have looked at quite a few senior chat sites and this one stood out above all as being user friendly and including many interesting and
friendly people. My name is Kathy and I live in a neighborhood of Los Angeles called Westchester, near the ocean. I hope it won't be long before I become acquainted with many of you. :)

Welcome to the forum Cathy M. and...

'My name is Kenny and I live in Rhos On Sea which is in North Wales, United Kingdom.
I hope it won't be long before I become acquainted with you. :)

The area around Ports O' Call was hopping over the weekend because of the Lobster Festival. We went down to ride the trolley that may
be discontinued. Nice to meet you.

I like your chorus of greeters. :) Thank you. It is so nice that there are people here from the United Kingdom. Sure would love
to see your country but I am not too enthused about plane travel. Nice to meet you Kenny.

You live in a lovely place, Shalimar. I have been there. Stayed in Victoria, but also went up island a ways. The ferry ride from Vancouver city was
so pretty!

Thanks Kathy! I love living amongst the year round green. I live just north of Victoria.
I wonder if we will ever see year round green again here. The drought has turned everything brown. Enjoy your special location. Such a pretty setting!

Thank you Linda. Everyone has been so nice to welcome me. You don't say where you are in Central Calif. Have you had any fire scares or smoke from the big fires? Mighty scary, those fires!

Yes Kathy, I live near the Rough fire, which was 141,000 acres and a few days ago it was75% contained so it's getting whipped. :) I live near the Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Parks. Not high enough elevation to be out of a lot of the heat though. I think we are about 1500 ft elevation and one of my grandsons lives up about 5,000 ft so he's really in the mts. :)

Welcome, Kathy, from Pennsylvania but born in Westchester, NY. I'd post more but this straight-jacket is a bit confining and they don't allow me to take it off during the week.
