Guess the Food

My dad was stationed in England during WW2 and had them there. When he got back home and got married, he sent for the recipe from the family he stayed with and had my mom make them from time to time. However, I think her pastry crust was different from whet I've seen prepared on some cooking shows.

(I got a Cornish pasty when I visited Cornwall a few years ago. It was OK, just a meat pie. BTW, the world leaders are staying at the hotel we stayed at, and are meeting at the Eden Project, one of the places we spent a few hours. It's fun reading about all the wonderful places in Cornwall that I remember!)
