Guys, when was the last time you wore a Cummerbund?

1985 was the only time I have worn one.
It was part of the attire I had to wear as Groomsman at my Friends wedding

About 35 years ago, my brother's wedding. I was a groom's-man.

Aside from high school proms, weddings are the only formal events I've ever gone to throughout my mostly blue-collar life.

Funny this subject came up today. I was purging stuff just the other day and came across my dad's cummerbund. He sang in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and had to wear a tux with a red cummerbund. He was one of two men I've ever known who actually owned a tux (as opposed to renting one when needed).

LOL - I had to look it up. I've seen Cummerbunds but I never heard of that word.
But then, I avoid formal dressing up - unless I have to.

Age 15, was an usher at my brother's wedding. Last time for the tux too, I'm a tank top+blue jeans & flip flop kind of guy.

I think that I wore one in 1959 when I got married. I have no recollection of one since.

Even at my wedding the men wore nice suits only. I always thought they were silly looking and would never ask anyone to wear one. Of course I never ran with the formal, stuffy folks. To each his own.
