Gym Membership?

No worries Hal. We got a little off track in your thread but life is good and the living is easy.

Oh.. Yes I do like guns, have some rifles and pistols. Did a lot of hunting/fishing back in the day.

I did neither, Davey...I don't fish at all and I shoot only targets at a range and plink in my local desert wilderness.

I would never shoot an animal unless it was posing a theat to my life.

Cheers,
Hal

I kind of agree with you. I think if I went for a gym membership at all, it would be the Silver Sneakers one that seems to be more geared to us old coots.

I used to like going to a gym, but then I didn't like it anymore, lol! I heard someone say that if you do a form of exercise that you truly enjoy, you will keep doing it. For me it turned out to be walking/hiking. I walk a lot around my tiny town, but not so much hiking as I rarely find anyone that will go with me. I don't like walking to far from the crowd (like being in a crowd is safe either) but I carry something if I do want to wander. I love sort of "sight-seeing". I like to look at things as I walk and not be too intent on the "exercise" word. I end up walking miles, but if someone mentions exercise, it sort of ruins it, LOL!!

Free gym use via Silver Sneakers is one way to help in living a healthy life. We go 5 times a week as a couple and look at the time together as a plus. Mixing cardio & weights burns those calories that don't get burned pushing the buttons on a remote control. Being fit enough to hike sure beats riding one of those electric wheel chairs.
