Had a person at door trying to sell food..from a truck

My city has had 7 carjackings in the past 6 weeks in broad day light, too. I have been cautious as the last car was a 2000 toyota. Who would want that? So, as mine is a 1999 I am careful, the theives will steel anything.

Back to the solicitors: I don't get any because I live in an apt. building and we have a no solicitors sign. Every once in a blue moon one sneaks in and gets shown the door rather quickly.

Car thieves actually prefer older model cars, especially Honda and Toyota, because
they were well-built cars that are still on the road today. Thieves re-sell the parts.

Btw... 14 years later, I am still driving my 2004 Honda Civic I bought new.

Perhaps answering the door with your pistol at your side would ahem...discourage them ?

Don't brandish it....just sitting on your hip would make me leave... never to return.

I never answer the door unless I am expecting company. I would never purchase anything from a d2d sales person. I do recall when I was little a d2d pastry company, Yum
