A little back story.....I started hanging out at a neighbor`s house at a very young age. No doubt my older siblings first took me there. The mom of the house always said that I was 18 months old when I started going there. One of the daughters was my first best friend and that friendship continues today. Anyway,I loved the mom so much. No problems with my own mom-loved her to pieces as well-but Margie was as different from my own mom as could be. My mom was always a working mom, where Margie was a stay at home mom. She would let us do pretty much whatever we wanted-cook,garden,make big messes doing our hair or playing with makeup. So anyway,Margie passed away about ten years ago (I went to her services and saw all the kids (there were 5) for the first time in about 30 years. The kids have all moved away from the area. They have now decided to sell Margie`s house. Guess it has just been sitting all this time. So I guess Jackie, the eldest daughter, was at the house the other night clearing things out and found this in a box. It is a Mother`s Day card that I made for Margie back in 1958-when I was 8 years old. I was very touched that she kept it all that time.

Very sweet of you to give that to her Mrs. R, and how special it must have been to be able to see it again thanks to Jackie. It must have meant very much to Margie to keep it safely tucked away like that! :love_heart:

How wonderful that Margie kept it and that Jackie shared it with you. :) Thanks for sharing it with us as well. You draw birds and trees like I did at that age and still do. :)
