Halloween candy favorites from childhood

Loved getting these on Halloween as a kid! This and the wax lips and fangs!

Homemade molasses popcorn balls were my favorite at Halloween and again at Christmas.

When homemade treats became suspect and fell out of fashion Reese’s peanut butter cups moved into the top spot.

I only went trick or treating three times because I was raised on a farm when I turned 9 and there were no homes around. While my parents were alive, both of them went with me as I went house to house when I was 6, 7 and 8 years old. My favorite candy was Reese’s Peanut Butter cups and Nestle Crunch bars.

these were withdrawn decades ago.. basically they were sharp shards of peppermint encased in chocolate.. and sometimes they would tear the inside of your mouth..lol..but they tasted nice

I always hated getting those nasty cheap butterscotch drops or the little rolls of chalky candy.

I don't remember if Reeses Cups existed when I was a kid, but that would be my choice now.

Peanut butter candy lumps wrapped in orange or black wax paper (or something sort of like that). The copycat sold a few years ago wasn't the same.

I don't recall having a favorite since I never liked Halloween. I suppose there are a couple of reasons why, but I do know, to this day, I do not like this holiday.
