In the Now I've Seen Everything department, this morning I've already been to Home Depot where the only Hallowe'en things left out are some pumpkins in a stack outside the front door. They've taken down all the Hallowe'en displays and put up...wait for it...the Christmas decorations. Yup. All the artificial trees are displayed. the fun blow-up thingies are out and lit up, there are amaryllis and paper whites for forcing.

Can we say rushing the season?

It could potentially be ( being serious for a second) that due to the shortages of everything including toys etc.. they might be filling shelves with Christmas stock to replace the empty Halloween Stock...

I know Christmas stock always gets into the stores early every year.. but this year we've been warned every day by the media that there's going to be such shortages this year including toys that everyone needs to shop for that stuff NOW.. :cautious:.. not Moi..natch, I have no kidlets to buy toys for .. so I'm alright Jack..:sneaky:

Stores like Home Depot seldom have much warehouse space. The store is the warehouse. So when merchandise arrives it has to go on display because there's no place else tp put it. My local Home Depot has had Christmas stuff out for at least a month.

Like a bank, sort of...but owned by the depositors. We're actually shareholders. Credit unions, unlike banks, are not-for-profit organizations...co-ops...where loans are less expensive and savings are paid better interest rates.
