Halloween Potluck Party! Come Have Some Fun Everyone and Bring Your Food.

I live in the country, so in the 20 yrs I have been here we have never had any trick-or-treaters.
But growing up in a S.F. bay area suburb we would have a couple hundred kids show up. I think times have changed too, and parents are a lot more likely to take their kids only to people they know.
The last time I was able to pass out candy was when I was living with my Dad probably 30 years ago. It was a nice neighborhood with lots of kids who came trick or treating.

Is anyone passing out candy for Halloween? I wish I could but live in an apt. with a security system so no one if uninvited can get in.
No kids in our rural area went trick-or-treating. I think they went to town because it would be quite a hike getting from house to house.

I don't know what to expect, living in town. I am leaving our outside lights off because my dog will turn into a barking maniac, and opening the front door without him wanting to greet everyone and then go with them is just too much for me to handle. Can't lock him in a room, because until he realizes they are kids, he will be busy destroying the door to get out to protect me.

I know what you mean about your dog and barking like a maniac. My dog would too.
