Happy Easter to Everyone!

Happy Easter? We are still in the Season of Lent.

Lent is a time of sober reflection that commercialism has subverted into another shopping spree.

I know that people mean well but to say a cheery "Happy Easter" to me on (or before) Good Friday is as out of place as saying Happy Anzac Day or Happy Veterans Day. At the very least, they simply have not thought very much about the events that took place in Jerusalem over two millennia ago and the significance of sacrifice.

Sorry about being such a killjoy. I am not my usual self right now.

I'm with you Warrigal, since I'm doing a particularly strict Lent this year, it seemed too festive too soon to me, too.

But then I got caught up in all the beautiful pictures and the cuteness over load!

Bassett hounds in Easter bonnets! I'm helpless against that stuff!

So I'm just going with the flow and loving all the joy!
