Happy Thanksgiving America In 2024

I remember the little things about Thanksgiving when I was a kid.

The discussions over who would sit straddling the table leg, who would get the goblet or plate with the chip, how to hide the gravy stain on my grandmother’s old linen tablecloth.

The men at the table in everything from a suit and tie to plaid wool hunting pants.

I also remember my mother shooting out of her chair because she forgot the rolls heating in the oven or the jello mold chilling in the refrigerator.

I’m thankful for the lasting memories and the dear old souls that helped to make them.

I think everyone in America had that same nut cracker and nut picks. 😉🤭😂

We always had a bowl of nuts, fresh fruit, and a string of dried figs or raisins on the stem.

The dried fruits and nuts ended up in the Christmas cookies as long as we had enough kids to sit around and crack them.
We never had the dried fruits. This is the first time I've ever seen raisins on the stem, in my life! 🤯
